The Hyper-Fabric Network for DePIN interoperability, Datagram, announced today that its $4 million pre-seed fundraising round is now complete. Animoca Brands, Cointelegraph, Amber Group, Aquanow, Arche Fund, DePIN X Capital, ISKRA, JDI Ventures, Yellow Capital, and a group of angel investors from top blockchain and infrastructure companies participated in the round, which was headed by Blizzard the Avalanche Fund.
Its sovereign Layer 1 blockchain, which is designed for composability and real-time speed, is being launched on Avalanche with the help of the funds. Along with onboarding strategic partners and speeding up Datagram Network’s strategy for its next node sale and mainnet launch, the $4 million fundraising will help expedite the company’s node network rollout in important areas.
60% of the connectivity infrastructure’s worldwide capacity is underused, meaning that up to 80% of the bandwidth, CPUs, and storage in both personal and business systems are unused. Applications in gaming, artificial intelligence, communications, and other fields are powered by Datagram’s network, which uses idle computation, storage, and bandwidth to create a high-availability, decentralized infrastructure backbone.
Jason Brink, CEO of Datagram Network stated:
“Avalanche shares our belief that real-time infrastructure must be decentralized, efficient, and open. Their leadership in this round validates the technical foundation we have built and the potential we see to become the baselayer for the decentralized internet.”
Datagram’s network, which launched as a sovereign Layer 1 blockchain atop Avalanche, provides more than 200 business partners and more than 1 million users globally with deterministic finality, ultra-low latency, and native composability within the larger Avalanche ecosystem. Additionally, the network can easily interact with both new and current DePIN networks across chains since it is blockchain-agnostic at the substrate level.
Lydia Chiu, SVP of Corporate Development and CIO of Blizzard the Avalanche Fund stated:
“Datagram is building the missing link between underutilized infrastructure and real-time Web3 applications. We are excited to support their mission to make decentralized infrastructure more performant, composable, and widely accessible.”
Leigh Travers, Director of Capital Markets at Animoca Brands stated:
“Infrastructure is the foundation for digital freedom and ownership. Datagram’s architecture unlocks a decentralized model that can scale with real-world demand from gaming to AI to the broader open metaverse. We believe their approach is essential to building the next generation of the Internet.”
In order to improve traffic flow over a worldwide network of decentralized nodes, the company’s plan calls for expanding its AI-based routing engine and launching collaborations in the gaming, telecom, and AI sectors. Additionally, Datagram introduced its Alpha Testnet, which lets people operate nodes, improve network performance, and be paid in $DGRAM. Datagram’s implementation of their proven DePIN interoperability and real-time infrastructure was made public for the first time.
