Conflux (CFX) Network Announces Key Parameter Changes for August 2025

Upcoming Changes to Conflux (CFX) Network Parameters

Conflux Network is set to implement significant adjustments to its key parameters on August 10, 2025. As confirmed by the Conflux Forum, these changes follow the results of the Conflux Network Key Parameters Round 16 vote.

Key Adjustments Detailed

The network will see a reduction in Proof of Work (PoW) block rewards, which will decrease from 1.60 CFX per block to 0.80 CFX per block. Additionally, the interest rate is slated to decrease from 6.50% to 3.26%. These changes are expected to have notable impacts on the network’s operational dynamics and economic incentives for miners and stakeholders.

Impact on Staked Assets

In alignment with the CFX Burning Completion Announcement made on May 8, 2025, Conflux Network had previously planned to keep 500,000,000 CFX staked until these parameter adjustments took effect. The Conflux Foundation has announced that these assets will be unstaked on August 11, following the implementation of the new parameters.

Future Plans for Staking Rewards

The Conflux Foundation has indicated that the staking rewards will remain locked for a minimum of two years. Post this period, a decision will be made on whether to burn the rewards or allocate them to bolster the Conflux Ecosystem Fund reserve. The Foundation plans to engage the community in discussions before making a public announcement about the future of these rewards.

These adjustments mark a strategic shift for Conflux Network, aiming to optimize its blockchain ecosystem. The community’s response and adaptation to these changes will be pivotal in determining the network’s future trajectory.
