Circle and Coinbase have declared an extension and deepening of their commercial relationship. As a part of the new deal, Coinbase will take an equity stake in Circle, according to a statement from Circle’s CEO Jeremy Allaire in a tweet posted on X. While the value of the stake was not disclosed, the move is considered as a ‘significant step forward’ for both firms’ collaboration in the cryptocurrency space, including wider adoption and innovation. This partnership comes as several institutional investors seek exposure to the booming crypto market.
