In preparation for the arrival of the Voltaire age, the blockchain known as Cardano (ADA) has announced some recent ecosystem improvements.
Notable among the company’s accomplishments is the progress it has made in the age of the Conway ledger and the creation of CIP-1694.
The last stage of cardano’s evolution is called the Voltaire period, and its primary objective is to create an entirely decentralized decision-making system.
CIP-1694 is the first iteration of cardano’s on-chain governance, and the success of this initiative will primarily be determined by the degree to which the cardano community can reach a unanimous decision.
Other developments at Cardano
According to the report, the ledger team has been progressing in fundamental technology, with recent additions, including Plutus v3 support for Conway and changes to delegation certificates.
The ledger’s application programming interface (API) and Haskell code documentation received updates.
Due to API difficulties, the Daedalus team has deleted Catalyst fund data from its wallet. Still, they have also been working on ways to allow Daedalus users to get the ADA price independently of the CoinGecko API.
To handle permitted dApp whitelisting, the Lace desktop development team has eliminated technological debt, enhanced packaging and unit testing capabilities, and created a new functionality.
Plutus maintained development on Marconi indexers and Plutus built-in functions for BLS12-381 curves while the Adrestia team responded to community input after the Lace launch.
In light of the final audit, the Marlowe team revised their report and made minor adjustments to the Isabelle specification.
Scalability work has been split between the Hydra and Mithril teams, with the former developing the new certifier service of the aggregator and resolving a fault in the signer registration.
Finally, Cardano is encouraging community leaders and organizations worldwide to host their own governance workshops, with funding provided by Cardano. To keep up on what’s happening in Project Catalyst, attend the weekly town halls and read the newsletters.
