- On the testnet, the Vasil hard fork was successfully deployed.
- There would be no issues with contracts after the HFC event is over as per Charles.
The Cardano network has just undergone a hard fork for the first time in a long time. The Vasil improvement is the name given to it. The network has had several hard forks during the last several years, including Vasil. It is intended to improve network speed, notably smart contract functionality and scalability. On the testnet, the fork was successfully deployed.
Rumors and False Information Put to Rest
But there seems to be a misperception about the new upgrade’s genuine functions. Because online trolls are constantly too busy spreading lies, they don’t bother to verify the accuracy of what they are saying. One such troll claimed that the latest Cardano update was inaccurate. In no time, he learned about it.
All Dapps operating on the Plutus version will not be compatible with the upcoming Vasil update, according to Thorchain.bull. He said that all present smart contracts must be updated for the new system to work. According to the poster’s Twitter username, he is a fan of the THOR CHAIN.
The entire reason we built the HFC and Plutus versioning is to ensure this doesn’t happen. It’s incredible to see the FUD and stupidity from Twitter trolls, but that’s life. After the HFC event, all contracts will still function. https://t.co/S0k3BHVu19

CEO Charles Hoskinson of Cardano evaluated the issue and informed the user of something he might have missed. After installing the HFC (Hard Fork Combinator), the Dapps operating on any version of Plutus will be able to work smoothly with the Vasil update.
The CEO was dissatisfied with the falsehoods circulated on social media without any supporting evidence. There would be no issues with contracts after the HFC event is over, he added. It wasn’t only Charles Hoskinson that wanted to set the record straight regarding the Vasil improvement. Both Plutus 1 and 2 will play a role in an extended and pipelined network, according to Tim Harrison, Vice President of Community & Ecosystem at IOHK.
