Hoskinson has responded to critics, saying he is not in haste to roll out Vasil.
Charles Hoskinson has taken to Twitter to dismiss reports that Input-Output Global (IOG), Cardano’s research and development company, is rushing to deploy the Vasil hard fork.
According to Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, critics have been sharing videos suggesting that the IOG is in a hurry to deploy node 1.35.3, the system Vasil is tipped to be the version of Hard Fork Combinator (HFC).
Dismissing these claims, Hoskinson said the node had been heavily tested by several developers, including Stake Pool Operators (SPOs).
“The code that was an issue on the testnet has been removed,” Hoskinson added.
It’s bizarre and alarmist seeing these videos floating around that things are being rushed with 1.35.3. The code in question has been thoroughly tested for months by everyone including SPOs. The code that was an issue on the testnet has been removed.

Hoskinson added that the IOG could decide to postpone Vasil’s launch for a few months to “retest code that’s already been tested a dozen times.”
However, he finds it unfair to continuously delay the launch of Vasil, which many decentralized application developers have patiently been waiting for.
“We, of course, could as a community delay the launch of Vasil for a few months to retest code that’s already been tested a dozen times and is already running. Is that worth it to all the DApp developers who have been waiting for this update for almost a year now?”
Hoskinson Is Tired of Being Blamed
The development comes less than two days after ProjetNEWM CTO, Andrew Westberg, said Hoskinson was not on the same page as his developers following the release of node 1.35.1.
Westberg urged SPOs to disregard Hoskinson’s call and run the node on a prepared network first. Aside from Westberg, other SPOs seemed unhappy with Hoskinson.
Responding to these criticisms, Hoskinson said:
“You’re the SPOs; you ultimately decide. I’m seriously tired of taking the blame on both sides. Cardano is decentralized. The people running the network ultimately decide upgrades, not me.”
