Bitget Donates $1.54M To Hong Kong Fire Victims

Bitget has made contributions amounting to $1.54 million to support families that were affected by the fire in the Wang Fuk Court. On November 26, the Tai Po building was hit by a fire that turned out to be the most serious residential catastrophe of the city in decades.

Bitget Donates Relief Money Via Local Charities

In one of the posts in its blog, the company stated that the structure of the relief will make the use of funds transparent. The donations will be handled with three existing Hong Kong charities. Yan Chai Hospital will have access to $640,000 which will be for hospital emergency treatment and rehabilitation of injured survivors.

Approximately $450, 000 will be received by the Salvation Army Hong Kong to offer temporary accommodations, financial, and basic commodities to the families that lost their homes and livelihood.

Po Leung Kuk will be receiving the same amount to provide counseling, support of mental health and long-term community outreach. According to the company, this structure will see to it that resources are allocated fast and in a manner that is targeted towards set purposes.

Bitget described the driving principles of its operations through its Universal Exchange vision. This approach was elaborated by the CEO during the seventh anniversary of the company.

Charity teams will also work together with government agencies who handle emergency accommodation and damage evaluation. The purpose is to make the families stabilize through the crisis and enable them to recover in the long term.
