- McBera allows users to interact with Berachain by simply typing commands, streamlining DeFi actions without switching apps.
- Berachain introduces structural upgrades like native PoL, smart wallets, and flexible staking to enhance the blockchain experience.
The Berachain team has launched Beratown Home beta version, and the most eye-catching feature is definitely McBera, an AI-powered digital assistant that you can simply chat with to perform on-chain actions.
McBera Turns Complex Crypto Tasks Into Simple Conversations
Imagine you want to swap tokens, or find out the best staking place. Usually you have to click here and there, open another dApp, connect to a wallet, and make sure you are on the right network. Now? You can simply type “swap 10 BERA for HONEY,” and McBera will take care of everything, no need for multiple clicks. This feature can now be tried directly from the Beratown homepage.
Interestingly, Beratown itself was developed by the DapDap team as the main interface for exploring the Berachain ecosystem. This is not just a place to swap tokens, but also a portal to the world of staking, farming, NFT lending, and minting collections. In fact, the “Home” feature is designed like a command center—just type, and you will be directed to the function you need.

Berachain Goes Deeper with Major Execution Layer Upgrades
But don’t think that Berachain’s innovation stops at the surface. Behind this convenience, they are also preparing a lot of major structural changes. One of them we covered in mid-July: BRIP-0001, a major proposal that was officially approved by the community.
Through this fork, Berachain separates the EVM client to speed up block processing and adjust gas fees, without abandoning full compatibility with Ethereum.
More importantly, this move paves the way for Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) directly at the execution level. In short, they want to create a blockchain that is not only fast and cheap, but also has liquidity incentives inherent from the ground up. It’s not just about efficiency—it’s about building an ecosystem that can survive without relying too much on outsiders.
In addition, Bectra’s update is also worth noting. Now, users can use a smart wallet that has spending limits, gas sponsorship features, and even batch transactions. On the other hand, developers and validators can enjoy more flexible staking, as well as more cost-effective blob data storage. When compared to traditional networks that are still rigid, it’s clear to see the difference in class.
Interestingly, Berachain has also introduced a new batch of RFRV that opens up new options for users. There’s NFT lending, vaults for liquid staking, and even integration with real-world assets. What’s unique? Eden vault brings gacha elements to DeFi—something that has so far only been synonymous with mobile games. Meanwhile, Kettle vault includes luxury watches as tokenized assets that can be included in the incentive system.
The presence of products like these shows that Berachain is serious about being more than just a regular smart contract network. They’re building a playground that’s interactive, flexible, and yes—quite fun to explore.
However, market sentiment remains a reminder. At the time of writing, the BERA token is changing hands at about $1.79, down nearly 5% in the past 24 hours. Its market cap has also plunged below $220 million. But it’s precisely in the middle of pressure like this that innovative steps like Beratown Home can make a difference. At the very least, they’re not just going with the flow, but trying to make their own path.
