BabyDoge Unveils First Official Play to Earn Game

The team noted that the game is in the final stages of development.

BabyDoge has unveiled its first-ever official game, and it particularly appeals to Chess fans. This endeavor is among the various initiatives that the team has undertaken to ensure that the project’s thriving community remains engaged, thereby bolstering its expanding social presence and influence.

The official BabyDoge Twitter handle highlighted the development in a recent announcement. The project is a traditional Chess game and will allow community members to engage in competitive matches against one another.

Though it was not officially categorized as a play-to-earn (P2E) game, the team noted that winners of the competitive matches would earn rewards in BabyDoge Coin (BABYDOGE), much like how traditional P2E games function.

The team has revealed that the game is in its final development stages and is undergoing testing before its official launch. While no specific launch date has been announced, indications indicate an imminent release. This disclosure was made one week after the BabyDoge team announced their plans to introduce the game.

BabyDoge Looking to Penetrate the P2E Arena

In addition to its own official game, BabyDoge is exploring other ways to establish a foothold in the gaming industry, such as collaborating with external projects. Notably, the team announced in January that they are actively seeking partnerships with developers of established gaming projects who are interested in collaborating.

The BabyDoge community has already tasted the P2E arena, courtesy of last year’s collaboration with Petaverse Park, a pet park designed by Decentraland, an Ethereum-based 3D virtual world platform.

The Petaverse Park project was Decentraland’s first pet park, and through the BabyDoge NFTs partnership, the project allows users to play with their BabyDoge NFTs to earn free tokens.

These numerous strides have been particularly beneficial to the BabyDoge project which saw its total holders tower over the 1.7 million mark last month. Exactly one month later, 12,000 more addresses have been added, hitting 1,712,053 holders as of press time.
