Arthur Hayes Predicts Hyperliquid Price To Hit $100, HYPE Reacts

Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes has a bold price prediction for Hyperliquid’s HYPE token. In a recent tweet today, he supported legendary trader James Wynn’s massive bet on the Hyperliquid platform. It is worth noting Arthur is a HYPE investor and has purchased millions of HYPE token recently. But, do other analysts agree?

Arthur Hayes Predicts HYPE Price

Arthur Hayes is targeting a price of $100 token and called James Wynn’s trade the best advertisement. The former BitMEX CEO’s forecast came as a direct response to the viral attention surrounding James Wynn’s massive leveraged trading position on Hyperliquid worth $1.1B.

Arthur Hayes’ prediction is linked to the organic publicity that Hyperliquid has received through Wynn’s trading activity. The trader’s 40x leveraged position has been circulating widely across X.

Recently, he purchased $2 million worth of HYPE tokens when it was trading it $14.6. Arthur is a long time crypto bull and like to bet early, his recent investments include JUICE, time.fun, Superform. As reported by cryptorank, his current crypto portfolio is up by 23% in last month.

The timing of Hayes’ prediction coincides with Bitcoin reaching new all-time highs of $111,900. This has put Wynn’s position in the spotlight with unrealized profits of $39 million at that peak. Arthur Hayes has also given other price predictions in the past. He also mentioned that Ethereum could outperform Solana this altcoin season.

James Wynn Still Holds a 9,659 BTC Position

James Wynn has maintained his massive Bitcoin exposure despite taking some profits. According to data from Lookonchain, the trader recently closed 540 BTC worth approximately $60 million and realized a profit of $1.5 million from this partial position closure.

Despite this recent profit-taking activity, Wynn continues to hold a long position of 9,659 BTC, currently valued at $1.07 billion. This remaining position carries an unrealized profit of $28 million based on current Bitcoin prices.

Lookonchain has also mentioned a concerning pattern in Wynn’s trading history. They pointed out that his previous three position closures were followed by drops in Bitcoin’s price.

The trader’s ability to maintain such a large leveraged position on Hyperliquid has contributed to the platform’s growing reputation in the derivatives trading space. Wynn has also been vocal about other coins. He made a bullish price prediction for PEPE last month.

Analyst Believes HYPE Can Flip SUI

Several cryptocurrency analysts have expressed bullish sentiment toward Hyperliquid’s HYPE token. Bitcoin analyst Luciano has been particularly vocal about HYPE’s potential and noted that he highlighted the token at $13 just two months ago.

Luciano’s analysis points to Hyperliquid’s impressive operational metrics as evidence of the platform’s growth. The decentralized exchange recently achieved multiple all-time highs across key performance indicators. This includes $8.9 billion in open interest, $5.4 million in 24-hour fees, and $3.2 billion in USDC total value locked.

Luciano specifically believes HYPE is positioned to “flip” both LINK and SUI in terms of market valuation during the current quarter. Analyst Altcoin Sherpa has also praised HYPE and called it “one of the best projects in crypto” with “one of the best charts.”
