Immunefi highlighted that DeFi attacks in April 2025 accounted for losses of $92.5 million, marking an increase of 27.3% compared to the prior year. UPCX and KiloEx bore the brunt, with their security breaches resulting in losses of $70 million and $7.5 million respectively.

While some funds were recovered, the majority remain unaccounted for, underscoring vulnerabilities particularly on Ethereum and BNB Chain, which collectively faced 60% of the attack incidents.
