- Partnership broadens the reach of Ajuna assets beyond substrate-based blockchains
- Deal enables Ajuna to scale in a larger, interoperable, decentralized ecosystem
Zug, March 2022 – Decentralized gaming platform Ajuna Network has formed a partnership with Darwinia Network to expand the reach of its in-game assets to a wider array of blockchains.
Ajuna’s decentralized platform is built on the understanding that in modern gaming, players are those who generate value.
But while a game’s attractiveness comes from its community and shared creations, in conventional games, players are still denied real ownership of the assets they develop.
Ajuna changes this by enabling gamers to own, control and trade their in-game assets, and even bring them to new gaming environments.
To bring this vision of decentralized, transferable in-game assets to life, interoperability is key. Darwinia is a multi-chain bridge hub that is building a foundation for the next generation of interoperable Web3 services.
It creates a safe way to transfer information and assets between different blockchain networks such as Polkadot, Ethereum, Tron, and others.
Through this partnership with Darwinia, Ajuna in-game assets can be traded in a broader ecosystem of games with diverse underlying blockchain architectures.
This will enable the Ajuna Network to scale in a larger, interoperable, gaming metaverse.
Alex Chien, Darwinia co-founder, and CEO said: “By dramatically reducing latency and integrating the Unity and Unreal gaming engines, Ajuna enables blockchain game developers to create faster, more graphically rich, and immersive decentralized games.
This partnership enables us to show just how much can be achieved by unlocking in-game assets to boost player engagement and allow games to reach a wider audience.”
Ajuna CEO and co-founder Cédric Decoster said: “Darwinia’s innovative cross-chain bridging solution provides an ideal basis for blockchain gaming. We share their vision of an interoperable environment that empowers players to retain control of their assets even when interacting with other games.
This is an exciting time for decentralized game development and we can’t wait to collaborate on further developing our immersive, shared experience.”
About Darwinia
Darwinia is a trustless multi-chain bridge hub network designed to become the foundational layer for the next generation of Web3 dApps and games, using a combination of zero-knowledge proofs and optimistic challenge technology.
The products and tools developed by Darwinia have been awarded three Web3 Foundation grants and a level-2 Substrate Builders award.
Darwinia is also mentioned in the Polkadot light paper and was the first team in the ecosystem to deploy a Substrate-Substrate bridge.
About Ajuna Network
Ajuna Network is a Swiss-based decentralized gaming platform bringing blockchain gaming into the mainstream by integrating GameFi functionality with the world’s leading development engines, Unreal and Unity.
Built on Substrate, Ajuna leverages the full potential of the Polkadot ecosystem to provide developers with a modular toolbox to easily add fully-featured GameFi functionalities to their games.
Ajuna’s ultimate goal is to create real value for both gamers and developers by providing a fully interoperable decentralized ecosystem for games and virtual goods.
