Cryptocurrency markets are in the green today, with almost every asset in the top 100 posting amazing gains. Two categories – AI-related cryptocurrencies and tokens of decentralized exchanges – are leading the way toward market recovery.

AI coins, DEX tokens: Two categories in spotlight today

Today, May 26, 2025, cryptocurrency markets are surging. In the top 100, two categories are delivering the most notable gains. AI tokens – cryptocurrencies somehow associated with artificial intelligence (AI) and DEX coins – core native utility cryptos of the largest decentralized exchanges – are witnessing double-digit upsurges.

Namely, VIRTUAL, a cryptocurrency of AI agent platform Virtuals Protocol, is the undisputed leader in the top 100 with an 18.3% overnight upsurge. Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (former Fetch.ai, FET) is also amid the top gainers.

FET, one of the oldest AI cryptocurrencies, is up by 11.2% in 24 hours. FET cryptocurrency exceeded $2.3 billion in market capitalization.

Other top performers today include DEX tokens. Namely JUP, a key cryptocurrency of flagship Solana’s DEX Jupiter, and UNI, a governance token of EVM major Uniswap, are rocketing today.

The Jupiter (JUP) price jumped by 15.7% today, while Uniswap (UNI) added 10%, per CoinGecko data. Uniswap (UNI) is ready to get back above the $4 billion cap.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) targets top 10

Cryptocurrency market capitalization is up by 0.1% today, exceeding $3.572 trillion. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) added 2.6% and 2.4%, respectively.

Meanwhile, HYPE, a core cryptocurrency of Hyperliquid DEX, is expanding its upsurge. In just one week, it spiked by 45% and almost hit $38. Net capitalization exceeded $12.66 billion, which made HYPE the 12th largest altcoin.
