Legit Or Fraud: NFT Project Claims It Is Featuring Mighty No.9 Maker and Mega Man Artist Artworks

Mighty No. 9 creator and Megaman artist Keiji Inafune is reportedly being involved in a latest project called Beastroid.
Its roadmap showed how owners of Beastroid will eventually be able to traverse the “infinite potential” of these NFTs, and the owners will be entitled to “enjoy the privilege.”
However, it appears like the countdown page has been taken offline on the PolkaFantasy website, questioning the legitimacy of the project.

Beastroids NFT Project

Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mighty No. 9 and Mega Man artist is purportedly working on a latest NFT project called “Beastroid.” As per the countdown website found on PolkaFantasy, a Japanese NFT marketplace, the legendary artist has created his initial futuristic NFT collection.

Beastroid Vol 001 Keiji Inafune’s first ever futuristic NFT collection blended in with astounding utilities. As he is foraying into the metaverse, PolkaFantasy excitedly announces the official “robo-revolution” collection on its latest marketplace 2.0.

It is believed that there will be 2,620 Beastroids to be released by July.

It is noteworthy that the present debate revolves around the legitimacy of the project and if Keiji Inafune is genuinely involved in this project, as his signatures and copyright are not supposedly attributed on the website. Andy Robinson, VGC editor, who covered the authentic story, has reacted to this through social media.

This appears to be a credible marketplace, and that page has Inafune’s name and some kind of original art all over it. Could they have decided to build all that for a scam? Sure, but why? Either way, I don’t think absence of his copyright and signature debunks it at all

Since NFTs took off, several celebrities and even video game organizations such as Konami are getting engaged in this sector.

Is It Legit?

As of now, the project appears to be skeptical as legendary artist Keiji Inafune’s involvement in the project is not confirmed officially. Another fact to take into account is that the countdown page of the project appears to be offline.

Finally, I would point out to the fact that NFT sector is booming but is also full of attackers and fraudsters creating traps for the folks interested to make money in this sphere.

It is advised that folks should conduct a full fledged research in the booming NFT sector, as if this space can make you affluent, there’s the opposite too.
