Google took help of its AI, recreated the NFT collection after taking inspiration from BAYC NFT collection.
Non-fungible tokens were one of the significant creations that saw its boom in 2021. These digital art-works received massive attention and people insanely stepped into the NFT space. This made many digital artists millions of dollars. Citing the importance of these digital assets, Google entered the space and with its own significance. The initiative took collaboration with Google’s different ventures with Artificial Intelligence and use of image diffusion techniques to create—Artsy Monke.
As reported, Google’s collaborative platform Colab Notebook and their Cloud Programming services were involved in the recreation of 10K BAYC, resulting in the Artsy Monke NFT collection. The entire NFT collection sold out as soon as it launched. Now the new buyers can get their NFT from OpenSea NFT marketplace.
The price disparity between the actual BAYC NFTs and Google AI created Artsy Monke collection is quite intriguing. Currently the floor price of Bored Ape YAcht Club non-fungible tokens collection is 82.11 ETH on OpenSea. This makes the floor price worth more than 135K USD. In contrast, Artsy Monke floor price is about 0.01 ETH which equates to approx 16.51 USD, at the current trading price of Ethereum.
Developer behind the project—Dan Hovey said that they have found something missing out of traditional NFTs art form. He said that they understand hype and enthusiasm during minting a new BAYC NFT. Given the eagerness to know what and how it’s going to look like and what would be its unique element. He also counted fine art as a missing element from usual NFT collections.
Hovey said that regardless of people’s passion towards them, no one would ever want to hand them in their home. This brought them the idea to recreate the famous Bored Ape NFT collection’s magic and let it convert into art, he added.
Apart from this, instead of being just another digital art piece to put up on display, Artsy Monke will be serving several real life utilities. They are said to be used as utility tokens that could be used for participation in games and let users earn money from playing games.
