Hype regarding NFTs appears to be expanding every day. From sportspersons to entertainment personalities, everyone wants a piece of this pie. Recently, Funko, an American toy maker, announced on Twitter that they will launch a Game of Thrones NFT collection with its Digital Pop lineup next month.
The collectibles will include the iconic characters from the show, including Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Jamie Lanister, Daenerys Targaryen, The Hound and more. A standard pack includes 5 NFTs and a premium pack will offer 15 virtual avatars.
Game of Thrones remains one of the most admired TV shows around the world. Though the final season became the reason for the fall in popularity of the show. First seven seasons got 90+ score on Rotten Tomatoes, but last season failed to perform fruitfully for the directors.
Talking about the TV series Breaking Bad remains the leading show to this date with an IMDb rating of 9.4, followed by Band of Brothers (9.4), Chernobyl (9.3), The Wire (9.3) and more.
NFTs are popular among the celebrities. During April 2021, Jimmy Fallon explained the concept of the non-fungible tokens in a funky manner on his show “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Earlier this year, Walk the Line actress Reese Witherspoon announced that her studio “Hello Sunshine” will collaborate with the World of Women NFT collection.
Besides this, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Neymar, Mbappe and more own Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs. Not just this, Dogg Father owns a virtual villa in the NFT and metaverse game The Sandbox. Folks can collect “Doggies,” virtual avatars posing as non-fungible tokens in the game.
