- The website for these NFTs claims that 45,000 NFTs will be issued in the first collection.
Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, has released an NFT collection. Trump’s Truth Social account was the first place anybody saw his so-called Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection.
Trump claims that the cards may be purchased for just $99 apiece. And the official website also has information on sweepstakes. It will include rewards like a Zoom call with the flashy billionaire. Or a round of golf with him for an hour.
In addition, Trump stated:
“My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards”
Minting on Polygon Blockchain
The website for these NFTs claims that 45,000 NFTs will be issued in the first minting of the collection, which will take place on the Polygon blockchain. Trump’s statement follows the announcement of his presidential run in 2024. Trump, who served as president from 2017 to 2021, failed in his bid for re-election in 2020.
Recent surveys and his party’s poor performance in the 2022 midterm elections suggest the former US president will have a tough time securing the Republican nomination for president.
Despite low approval ratings and the party’s lackluster showing, the former president managed to get attention on Wednesday by posting a video on Truth Social in which he said, “AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO! I will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Thank you!”
NFT INT, the organization leading the drive, states on its website that none of the funds raised would be used to support Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024.
