Just months after the previous collection saw over 23 million individuals express interest in purchasing them, Dubai Police is getting ready to launch its second round of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The second set of NFTs from the law enforcement agency will be unveiled at GITEX this year, according to the report.

The Dubai Police became the first in the emirate and one of the first in the world to mint NFTs after launching its maiden collection. According to the law enforcement organization, more than 7,000 communications about the tokens have been received since then. Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, the head of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Dubai Police, further said in statements reported by Khaleej Times.
Khalid stated:
“All participants were contacted to confirm digital wallet addresses, and those who met the requirements were shortlisted in a raffle draw, of which 150 individuals won and received the Dubai Police digital assets for free.”
The director proposed that, similar to the first NFT collection, anyone from outside the nation would also be able to own Dubai Police’s next collection for free.
Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan of Dubai recently unveiled a strategic plan to increase the number of blockchain and metaverse enterprises in Dubai from the current 1,000 to 5,000 within five years. The strategy, known as the Dubai Metaverse Strategy, also aims to generate 40,000 employment and bring in $4 billion to the Dubai economy.
According to a corporate release, the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority has awarded provisional approval to Huobi Global, a cryptocurrency exchange.
