This week’s guest on the Cardano NFT Column is a project featuring a new platform called AnimeSector, for anime fans with integrated NFT functionality: AdaWaifus.
Last week’s guest was a minting platform that is expanding into diverse facets of blockchain and NFT technology.
This initiative is a point of reference for NFTs on Cardano and every week or two we will invite someone to answer some questions and give us an update directly from within the Cardano community.
Considering that many of our readers are new to the crypto space, we will have a mix of simple and technical questions.
Cardano NFT project: AdaWaifus
Hey, glad to have you here. Please introduce your team, where are you from, what are your backgrounds?
We are a core team of 4 people. (Luise, Alex, Tobi and Sven). Except Alex, we all live in Germany. Alex lives in Luxembourg. AdaWaifus has brought us together and now we have founded a company in which everyone can live out their special skills.
For AdaWaifus, we got ourselves some help from other Experts:
- Reinhardt, a talented Photoshop and frontend developer,
- Johannes our System Admin,
- Pete who is very well connected in the Cardano ecosystem and is our marketing expert.
What is AdaWaifus, how are you utilizing NFTs and why have you chosen the Cardano blockchain?
AdaWaifus is a way for us to build a relationship with our future customers and learn about the Cardano blockchain technology before the actual product. We see great potential and would like to use it for our future products, such as ‘anime.chat’. Holders of AdaWaifus NFTs will get all premium features unlocked, which will be monetized for other users. More information about how we want to do this can be found in our Whitepaper.
We see the ADAWaifus collection as a way to bridge the gap between blockchain and anime fans in the world. We love sharing the art and passion from the group with the wider blockchain community and the anime community.
Tell us more about the Anime Community Platform. How will it work and what will it offer to anime and manga enthusiasts?
We are creating a full ecosystem for anime fans. The central hub will be AnimeSector, which can be compared to Facebook.
The only difference is that AnimeSector will focus on anime information & community instead of a social media posting wall. However, like Facebook, we will gradually develop and add modules. In the beginning, this will be anime.chat (messenger) and anime.art (comparable to a mixture of imgur, deviantart and animexx). These modules will be released as stand alone mobile apps, but will also be integrated directly on AnimeSector as modules.
If we manage to generate enough revenue to cover the expenses, many more modules will follow, and of course all of them will be tailored to the needs of people interested in anime.
What does the future hold? Where do you envision the AdaWaifus project and community in 1, 5, 10 years respectively?
We believe, in 1 year we’ll be sitting in a team member’s studio, working intensively on our products and marketing. Creating new artwork collections, continuing our manga series and engaging with the wider community to be able to grow with them.
In 5 years, we hope we’ll have our first joint office where we meet every day and work together on our goals.
In 10 years, we’ll have grown the project to the point where we have many employees working intensively with us to revolutionise the topic of anime in the German-speaking world and other European countries which is a neglected area when it comes to anime fandom.
The project is community driven and we are adjusting the modules depending on the needs and desires of our community. We aim to all grow together!
Amazing. Any closing remarks? Where can people find more information?
We will have more information on all of this to be published on our website soon but at the moment, you can find all information about AdaWaifus here and join our Discord server to engage with the community.
