Zipmex Partnered with Penrith Panthers and Coast Mariners

Zipmex partnered with teams from Australia’s A-League Men soccer league and National Rugby League. The move will enhance Zipmex’s awareness in Australia. In its recent funding Zipmex raised $41 million including capital from Bank of Ayudhya.

In March, the crypto company enjoyed an additional investment of $11 million from B Capital, Howard Morgan and Rajarshi Ganguly.

The teams Zimpex partnered with are the National Rugby League’s Penrith Panthers and the A-League Men’s Central Coast Mariners. The  cryptocurrency exchange  offers its services in Thailand, Australia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Zipmex has obtained a Digital Assets Exchange License from the Ministry of Finance of Thailand.

$11 million investment in March by B Capital, the investment firm led by Facebook cofounder Eduardo Saverin, Bain Capital veteran Rajarshi Ganguly and legendary investor Howard Morgan. Zipmex said the fundraising valued the company at “mid-hundred million.”

The partnerships enable the crypto exchange to host educational events at the games. Cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will be offered at these events featuring key players from the National Rugby League.

Marcus Lim, CEO and co-founder of Zipmex said: “It is Zipmex’s primary goal in 2022 to expand our cross-dimensional presence–real world and metaverse–in Asia Pacific and explore different ways to engage with current and potential users.”

Visa and GMM Grammy Entertainment

Zipmex collaborated with GMM Grammy entertainment by launching a concert on Decentraland in February 2022. Getsunova was the first Thai music artist to perform on the metaverse at the Zixel by Zipmex Launch Party.

The crypto  trading platform  also launched a crypto Visa debit card that is linked to the client’s cryptocurrency account in Singapore (approved by the regulators). It has also applied to Thai regulators in order to launch the crypto debit card in Thailand.

Lim was very pleased with Visa’s partnership: “We are glad to be the market-entry partner for Visa into the region. Any payment product we release will have been approved by the respective regulatory bodies first.

“As we are in the unique position of launching the first product of this kind, we have provided support and guidance to help regulators pass effective digital asset legislation. This has been one of the more fulfilling aspects of this project.”
