- A top YouTube executive has revealed the video-sharing giant’s ambitions to incorporate Web3 components into its platform.
- Youtube stated, “We’re looking to the future and have been analyzing everything that’s going on in Web3 as a creative force to keep developing on YouTube.”
YouTube video artists, like conventional influencers, are eager to promote cryptocurrencies, blockchain software, and items such as hardware wallets on their channels.
Expanding the YouTube ecosystem
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) are topics of considerable interest to YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, according to a new corporate blog post.
“We’re looking to the future and have been analyzing everything that’s going on in Web3 as a creative force to keep developing on YouTube,” the company says.
In the last year in the world of cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and even decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) have shown a previously imagined chance to strengthen the bond between creators and their audience.
“We’re continuously working to enhance the YouTube ecosystem and to provide artists with a platform to capitalize on emerging technologies, such as NFTs, while also strengthening and improving the creators and viewers’ experience on YouTube.”
You can set NFTs as your profile pictures
By entering the NFT arena, the video-hosting behemoth would be following in the footsteps of other social media behemoths like Twitter and Reddit, Both of which have recently released beta versions of a program that allows users to set NFTs as profile photos.
Wojcicki’s statement comes on the heels of Google, YouTube’s parent corporation, launching a team dedicated to investigating blockchains and other crypto-related technology.
This isn’t Google’s first step into the field of cryptocurrency; the company previously collaborated with leading US-based crypto exchange Coinbase and payments service BitPay to load coins onto digital cards while charging consumers in fiat money.
Influencer Marketing on YouTube
YouTube video artists, like conventional influencers, are eager to promote cryptocurrencies, blockchain software, and items such as hardware wallets on their channels.
While influencer marketing may help you get your project in front of your target audience, be sure the people you deal with understand your product and know how to portray it.
Education in Cryptocurrency
As blockchain pioneers, today’s businesses share the duty of reaching, attracting, educating, and training the next billion users.
Our main suggestion is to leverage YouTube to build a learning academy where developers and end-users may go to learn more about your project.
