In a recent post, YouTube announced the incorporation of AI-related features that will be used to edit the short video. The video with a length of not more than 60 seconds is provided with the features like assistive tools that will help video creators discover music. The dubbing feature also known as Aloud will help the user translate their video and audio into the needed language.
YouTube also announced Dream Screen, a feature that allows the user to change the background. The feature is available only for short videos which are less than a minute and are shot on a mobile.
These features will allow users to remix existing videos. A new mobile app called YouTube Create, is currently in beta stage in some markets. The platform did not clearly state whether this application is AI-powered. However, it said that the app offers effects such as automatic captions, voice-over tools, and other effects.
AI Features Will Arrive in 2024
The platform confirmed that the features will arrive by 2024. Only some features have clear launch dates. YouTube stated that the ‘Dream Screen’ will enter the testing stage at the end of 2023 and the feature will be launched in 2024. Insights and assistive music searches will also be launched in 2024.
Besides launching AI-based features, it is not fully inclined with AI videos. It means that it does not support users to generate the whole video with the help of AI.
Also, Google, the parent company of YouTube, announced that it will integrate YouTube with its AI assistant Bard. The combination of Bard and YouTube will allow users to draw data from the platform and use that data in connection with Google’s wider array of services.
Summary
YouTube in a recent post announced the inclusion of AI-enabled editing products for video editing that will be available in its new app ‘YouTube Create’. These features include ‘Dream Screen’ which helps to change the background settings, dubbing feature Aloud, and assistive music search.
These features are aimed to assist and enhance creativity. However, YouTube does not favor videos being generated fully by AI. The implementation will be seen next year. The testing of the feature Dream Screen will be done at the end of 2023.
