With the likes of AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley on the babyface side and Asuka, Becky Lynch and Kairi Same among the top heel stars, the women’s WarGames match had all the ingredients for a successful show-stealing bout at WWE Survivor Series.

  • Charlotte Flair and Asuka started the match and didn’t do much of note until Iyo Sky entered as the No. 3 entrant with a garbage can lid in hand. The San Diego crowd erupted with “Iyo” chants. Sky slipped on the top rope but saved herself from disaster and hit an awkward flying clothesline followed by a vicious shot with the lid on to Asuka.
  • Becky Lynch entered at No. 4 with a kendo stick and instantly attacked Sky. Flair and Lynch eventually faced off briefly and hit dueling fallaway suplexes on Sky and Asuka, respectively. Alexa Bliss entered next to give the babyface team the 3-2 advantage.

WWE Survivor Series 2025 Results: What’s Next for AJ Lee and Becky Lynch?

WWE Survivor Series 2025 should have marked the climax of numerous marquee storylines in the women’s division.

Over the prior few months, WWE was able to create compelling storylines across both Raw and SmackDown. Among them were Flair’s surprisingly successful alliance with Alexa Bliss, The Kabuki Warriors’ betrayal of Iyo Sky and Lee’s comeback feud with Lynch.

The biggest stories coming out of Survivor Series? That would be the strong PLE debut of Legend, who shined more than just about anyone in the match and looks to be in line for a significant push on SmackDown. Of course, Ripley finally got on the same page as Flair, suggesting that “The Queen” is here to stay as a fan favorite.

In reality, though, the somewhat underwhelming women’s WarGames match was mainly about Lee and Lynch. Of course, Lynch has been Lee’s primary focus since returning to WWE after a decade away, and Lee’s second marquee win over Lee is likely going to lead to the first-ever singles match between the two stars in the weeks ahead.

A potential stage for that would be at Saturday Night’s Main Event on Dec. 13. unless WWE decides to host that match on an episode of Raw. That might be the best option given that John Cena wants to focus SNME on upcoming talents while the next WWE PLE is Royal Rumble on Jan. 31 of next year.

It’s doubtful that WWE can hold off that long on the long awaited Lee vs. Lynch singles match. So, after Lee got another big win at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, expect the two stars to clash in a main event caliber grudge match on Raw in the near future.
