The final WWE SmackDown before Saturday Night’s Main Event put quite a few important pieces in place for the Montreal show and the Royal Rumble. Here’s a breakdown of everything that happened at the Bell Centre.

The three-hour episodes have worked out well. I enjoy the number of matches and segments that now take place weekly on the blue brand.
- Carmelo Hayes def. Ilja Dragunov – United States Championship Hayes continues his open-challenge run with another successful defense.
- Nathan Frazer def. Johnny Gargano A fast-paced opener that highlighted both men.
- Jade Cargill def. Chelsea Green After the match, Jordynne Grace confronted Jade again to push for a future title shot.
- MFTs (Tama Tonga & Solo Sikoa) def. The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) (c) – WWE Tag Team Championship The Wyatt Sicks’ reign ends as the MFTs capture the tag titles.
- Triple Threat Women’s Tag Contender’s Match Nia Jax & Lash Legend def. Giulia & Kiana James and Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair Jax and Legend earn the next shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place January 24, 2026, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, airing at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock and Netflix internationally.
Who Declared for the Royal Rumble on SmackDown?
Ladies and gentlemen, Roman Reigns is in the Rumble.
Reigns officially declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble, and he wasn’t even in attendance. There was a promo video called Reigns in Riyadh. It was pretty amazing.
Solo Sikoa also announced his entry into the Men’s Rumble, giving The Bloodline/MFTs a second power player in the match. On the women’s side, Jordynne Grace declared for the Women’s Royal Rumble after her confrontation with Jade Cargill, signaling that she’ll be targeting Jade if she wins.
