Naomi returned to address the WWE Universe about her status.
WWE
WWE Raw returned to the states with a show emanating from Philadelphia, Pa. Raw advertised Naomi’s return amid rumors of her status. Naomi was not medically cleared for a previously advertised match against Iyo Sky last week, leading to speculation on her status, and multiple reports that she may not be competing for a very long time. Naomi appeared on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast alongside Jimmy Uso, and many expected a major announcement about Naomi’s future. This announcement was instead saved for tonight’s broadcast of Raw.
Naomi turned heel on the March 7, 2025 broadcast of SmackDown after she revealed herself as Jade Cargill’s mystery attacker. Cargill returned six days prior at WWE Elimination Chamber when she promptly attacked then-babyface Naomi inside the steel structure. Naomi’s tearful heel turn was one of the best segments of the year, and led to a sustained push where she competed in the first women’s non-title singles match in WrestleMania history.
Despite losing the historic match to Cargill, Naomi’s rise continued this past June at WWE Money in the Bank when she became the first Black woman to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. Naomi cashed in the briefcase in grand fashion at WWE Evolution, winning the WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Championship. Naomi’s thrilling cash-in spoiled quite possibly the greatest women’s match in WWE history between Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. The reigning WWE women’s world heavyweight champion doubled down on her success by winning a Triple Threat Match.
WWE and Naomi have been tight-lipped about her whereabouts, but she clarified her status on Raw.

Jey Uso Confronts Seth Rollins And The Vision
- Fans gave Seth Rollins a babyface reaction before unanimously barking for Bron Breakker.
- Paul Heyman said he’s not in God Mode, because in this city (Philadelphia), I’m God! Heyman then called himself the GOAT to a huge reaction. Heyman described the ring of GOATS with yet another introduction of the Vision from Bron Breakker, to Bronson Reed, to Seth Rollins. Bronson Reed is the only person who got any heat because the Tribal Thief currently owns two pairs of Roman Reigns’ Jordans. Fans chanted “OTC!” but Heyman gaslit them and said they were chanting “Paul E!”
- Heyman put Seth Rollins over as somebody who has beaten Roman Reigns twice in the main event of WrestleMania.
- Jey Uso’s music came on before Seth Rollins can say a word.
- Jey Uso let several children say “Yeet!” into a live microphone. Jey took several shots at the “little puppy dog” Bron Breakker. Seth Rollins gassed Bron up by saying Jey Uso thinks his dad is a loser and his uncle is a moron. The big dog tried to turn himself loose, but was later held back by Rollins.
- Heyman made yet another ECW reference to chants of “ECW!” Heyman announced no DQ and no countouts in the name of Sandman, New Jack, Rob Van Dam, the late great Sabu, the late great Tommy Dreamer (“who isn’t dead, but he should be”) and the Dudley Boyz.
WWE Raw Opening Segment Grade: B+
Iyo Sky Def. Raquel Rodriguez
- Backstage, Iyo Sky had another pre-match conversation with the Kabuki Warriors. Asuka apologized for shoving her last week, and once again offered her services. Sky accepted Asuka’s apology, but said she wanted to do this herself.
- During Raquel Rodriguez’ entrance, Roxanne Perez was going back-and-forth with a fan who was off camera.
- Iyo Sky sold great for the monster Raquel Rodriguez. Sky then built a head of steam before being tripped up by Perez. Sky then walked into a big boot from Rodriguez.
- Iyo Sky avoided a corkscrew elbow from Rodriguez and fired up on her once again. Rodriguez countered Iyo’s Bullet Train knees and slammed her to the mat. Rodriguez then landed a corkscrew on Iyo.
- Iyo Sky briefly came back until she missed an Over the Moonsault. Iyo did a backflip while taking a clothesline from Rodriguez. Sky put on a clinic in making wrestling giants look like monsters.
- Iyo didn’t fall for the Roxanne tripping trick again, so she dove on Roxanne. Iyo then dove onto Rodriguez, who intercepted Iyo and vaulted her into the post. Back came Sky with the Bullet Train followed by Over the Moonsault. Incredible match.
- After the match, Roxanne and Raquel attacked Iyo, but Rhea Ripley made the save. Backstage, Ripley got in a shouting match with the Kabuki Warriors as Iyo angrily stormed out.
Iyo Sky vs. Raquel Rodriguez Match Grade: B+
