Disneyland Paris is gearing up for the next iteration of Walt Disney Studios Park, and the grand transformation officially kicks off on March 29, 2026. On that date, the park will adopt its new name, Disney Adventure World, and the highly anticipated World of Frozen will debut. The new land themed around the fictional town of Arendelle from the Frozen franchise will feature a new ride, daytime show, meet and greet, a restaurant and shops.
“March 29, 2026, will mark a historic milestone for Disneyland Paris with the transformation of our second park into Disney Adventure World, and the opening of its spectacular new expansion, featuring World of Frozen. With this step, we’re pursuing the most ambitious transformation in our resort’s history, pushing the boundaries of storytelling and inviting guests to live their own adventures in the extraordinary worlds of Disney Animation, Pixar, and Marvel,” said Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris, in a press release.
When Disney Adventure World opens, it will feature five distinct areas: Marvel Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar, World Premiere Plaza, Adventure Way and World of Frozen. But that’s not all that’s coming to the park. Teams are already working on a new Lion King-themed land with a log flume-style ride showcasing Simba’s journey from cub to king.

Upon entering the new World of Frozen land, guests will see the 118-foot-tall North Mountain, which is adorned by Elsa’s ice palace. But further down the mountain is the village of Arendelle. The land will feature one of Disney’s most popular park attractions, Frozen Ever After. There are also iterations of this ride at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, and Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disney Resort. The Disney Adventure World version of the attraction will feature beloved songs from the first Frozen movie, plus impressive next-gen Audio-Animatronics figures and projection mapping.
And speaking of Audio-Animatronics figures, Walt Disney Imagineering, in partnership with Disney Live Entertainment and Walt Disney Animation Studios, has developed a fully free-roaming robotic figure of Olaf, which looks, walks, and talks just like the snowman from the movies. Imagineers used reinforcement learning, a type of artificial intelligence, to “teach” Olaf how to walk and realistically move his arms.
Even more interesting, the Olaf robotic character can fully articulate his mouth and eyes, has a fully removable nose and arms, making him even more accurate to the movie. And don’t be surprised if the talking snowman actually starts talking to you, because Imagineering has programmed Olaf to engage in conversations.
World of Frozen will also debut a new show, called “A Celebration in Arendelle.” The 15-minute show will feature characters and songs from Frozen and Frozen 2. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the songwriters behind “Let It Go,” have composed new music exclusively for the show. Additionally, “A Celebration in Arendelle” will feature three Viking longships that were developed in partnership with Couach Construction Navale, which is a renowned shipbuilder from the Bordeaux region of France.

The central hub of Disney Adventure World will be Adventure Bay. The 7.5-acre lake connects to all of the lands, plus it’s the stage for an all-new nighttime spectacular,
“Disney Cascade of Lights.” The show was designed to be viewed from any point around the lake with tiered viewing areas, so every guest at the park has a great view. The show will feature the first integration of an aquatic drone system and aerial drones, utilizing a total of 379 drones. Additionally, colorful water fountains, water screens and pyrotechnics will also be utilized. The show’s soundtrack was recorded by a massive 90-piece orchestra, and features popular songs from the Disney library and an all-new song created just for the nighttime spectacular, “We Can Be Heroes.”

Think of Adventure Way as the park’s main street that connects all of the lands. Here, a new Tangled-themed spinning ride called Raiponce Tangled Spin will have guests sitting in a cute gondola, twirling underneath the warm glow of lanterns. There will also be 14 new culinary experiences, entertainment offerings, and green spaces for relaxing. After the initial opening of Adventure Way in March, Disney will debut a new family-friendly swing carousel attraction inspired by the Pixar movie Up.
The transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World and the addition of World of Frozen is part of a €2 billion ($2.3 billion) investment in Disneyland Paris. Disney Adventure World will also include a complete reimagining of over 90% of Disneyland Paris’ second park’s offerings since opening in 2002. Even more exciting is that all of the expansions will nearly double the park’s size upon completion.
