Wordle Today Hint And Answer — Tuesday July 5th Wordle #381 Guide

Wordles come and Wordles go and when they’ll stop, nobody knows. We’re on Wordle #381 and before the month is out we’ll have hit #400. You can almost trace the seasons in this manner. Every 90 words or so we move from Spring to Summer to Autumn to Winter and back again.

In any case, yesterday we celebrated the 4th of July and I wrote a very patriotic article about peace in Ukraine at my Substack to honor the day. Peace is patriotic in my humblest of opinions. I also published two separate critiques of Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 which you can read here and here if you’re interested. I do write about subjects outside of the Wordle-verse!

But we’re here for Wordle so let’s take a look at today’s word!

Today’s Wordle Hint & Answer

Obviously there are spoilers ahead and you, good people, have been warned.

The Helpful Hint: If you build it, they will come.

And the answer is . . .

I’m pretty sure that hint wasn’t too obscure. Kevin Costner’s Field Of Dreams has been around a long time and its most famous line is “If you build it, they will come.” Dream is also a five-letter word, I suppose.

In any case, doubt certainly didn’t narrow down my possible solutions much. On the flipside, it did cut out two vowels. My next guess I just ditched the ‘D’ temporarily to test out a couple more vowels and fortunately got the ‘F’ in green.

In keeping with my first two guesses, I tried to introduce the one remaining vowel I hadn’t ruled out yet, and came up with a word that used all three letters I’d gathered so far. I’m glad I didn’t guess fiend, the only other possible solution at this point according to Wordle Bot. I mean, fiend is a terrific word but field was the winner.
