Well here we are again. It feels like just yesterday I was writing about how it was finally Saturday and the weekend, but that must have been a whole week ago.
That’s the thing about time. Sometimes it drags and you feel like whatever boring nonsense you’re doing will never end. Sometimes you stay so busy and occupied that it flies by. My days are mostly the latter. I never have enough time (or energy) to get it all done. I think days need about 12 more hours. 6 more to get stuff done. 2 more to have some fun. And 4 on top for extra sleep.
You know what doesn’t sleep? Today’s Wordle. It waits, biding its time, gathering strength while we grow complacent. Well not today, Wordle. Not today. We’re coming for you . . . .
Today’s Wordle #442 Answer, Hint & Clue
The Warning: Spoilers ahead!
The Hint: Six feet under.
The Clue: This word begins with a vowel.
The Answer:
You know, I feel pretty good about this one. This is a tough word but I got it in three. I suppose I was a bit lucky.
Raids seemed like it would be a good starting word, but I’m not sure why I thought of it. I rarely ever raid in video games like Destiny 2 or World Of Warcraft. Maybe it’s my Viking heritage. We Vikings do engage in a lot of raiding and raiding-adjacent activities, after all.
That brought me down to 61 out of 2,309 possible solutions, which is MUCH better than yesterday! From here I guessed thorn because it had a lot of other common letters and—trivia time!—it’s what Willow calls himself in the sequel trilogy to Willow. Did you even know there was a sequel trilogy to Willow? There is! It’s written by X-Men writer Chris Claremont with a story by George Lucas himself. The first book is Shadow Moon. It’s pretty good, kind of trippy, lots of demons and dragons and such. Not a lot like the movie, if we’re being honest, but certainly an interesting story in its own way.
I’m sure the Willow show on Disney+ will be nothing at all like it—though it looks pretty damn good, too.
In any case, that brought me down to one solution which I had to think about for quite some time, arranging and rearranging letters until I finally came up with intern despite having four yellow boxes to work with. Whatever. I got it in the end, and in just three. I am the champion of the world!
