Wordle Today #434 Word Of The Day Answer, Hints And Clue — Saturday, August 27th

The weekend has arrived at last! It’s the final weekend of August, which means that in just a week we’ll only have four months left in 2022. Crazy, right?

In a week we’ll also get to see whether or not Amazon’s The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power show can live up to all the hype. It certainly looks good…but will the script live up to the incredible production value? That’s always the question I have with these shows. So many fail to live up to the promise.

For now, let’s solve today’s Wordle so y’all can get back to your weekend warrior activities!

Today’s Wordle #434 Answer, Hint & Clue

The Hint: When you’re even more of a jerk.

The Clue: This Wordle has two vowels.

The Answer:

This was some of my luckiest guessing of all time. I’m not sure I’ve ever narrowed down a Wordle to just 11 guesses on my first try. I was so close to getting it in two! Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Still, rouse got me one green box and two yellows, and with that ‘R’ in green I just picked the first word that came to mind: ruler. I was thinking school rulers, the measuring stick variety, but it could also be a king or tyrant, emperor or president.

At this point, I was a bit lost for a minute. I didn’t realize at the time that only one option remained, and when I put a ‘D’ in there I thought, “Is ruder even a word?” Or is it “more rude”? Like how funner isn’t a word, it’s “more fun.” (I think funner should be a word and it’s totally arbitrary that it isn’t).

But it made more sense than anything else. I was pretty certain ruper wasn’t a word. Or rumer. So I guessed ruder and emerged victorious. Huzzah!
