Cole, Bandido, Cassidy And Strong def. JAS

Chris Jericho wore the controversial Britt Baker black eye t-shirt like the excellent heel he is.

If it weren’t for injuries and Bobby Fish going sideways, the babyface team could have been a full-fledged reunion of The Undisputed Era.

Daniel Garcia did a dance and it was one of the most entertaining things he’s ever done in a wrestling ring.

Adam Cole barely waited for the third count to be registered before he left the ring and made a beeline for Chris Jericho. Later on, Britt Baker attacked Jericho backstage.

JAS vs. Cole, Strong, Bandido and Cassidy Grade: B

Willow Nightingale vs. Saraya

Willow Nightingale continues to receive strong reactions despite AEW booking her like a journeywoman.

Saraya won with help from her friends, and apparently her finisher is now called the Good Night.

Hikaru Shida hit the ring, kendo stick in hand, only to embrace with The Outcasts. The alliance was temporary as she sprayed the spray paint in Saraya’s face as Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter backed her up.

Willow Nightingale vs. Saraya Grade: C+

Tres De Mayo Trios Battle Royale

Max Caster’s pre-match freestyle accused QT Marshall of being part of Q’Anon and mocked The Dark Order for still not having any Black friends.

Tony Schiavone and Taz were sniping at each other all night and it never seemed more heated than during this match.

Anthony Bowens had a great save when he was almost eliminated. Taz hilariously remarked “that’s from all that scissoring, he’s got a great grip!”

Daddy Ass and Bowens hit a Stereo Fame-Asser and the announce team didn’t know what to legally call the maneuvers.

Tres De Mayo Trios Battle Royale Grade: C+

Wardlow def. Logan Leroux

Wardlow begun this match by pantomiming that he was pulling a glock on Logan Leroux. Wardlow later made quick work of Leroux in another squash match.

Somehow, Wardlow sounded blown up after just a few moves in a squash match. He then called out Luchasaurus and Christian, who surprisingly accepted the title shot instead of Luchasaurus.

Wardlow vs. Logan Leroux Grade: B-

Ricky Starks def. Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson teaming with Jay White sounds like a lifeline in AEW on-paper, but it turns out Robinson is essentially going to be White’s setup guy.

Lethal and Robinson pounced on Starks almost immediately following Starks’ win. Expect White to have the advantage in their inevitable pay-per-view match.

Ricky Starks vs. Juice Robinson Grade: B

Darby Allin and Jungle Boy def. Sammy Guevara and MJF

The Pillars storyline comes off as the Kardashians fighting over who gets to spend Kris Kardashians’ inheritance. They really need to be a heel stable, not opponents.

Guevara and MJF continue to demonstrate chemistry at ever level, even down to their closely matching gear.

Referee Bryce Remsburg caught MJF and Guevara in the act of cheating, and like any AEW referee, he did nothing about it.

Jungle Boy’s comeback was incredible toward the end of this match, but he followed up with a Tiger Driver where Guevara had a scary landing.

MJF and Sammy Guevara teased a stereo dive over the top rope but, predictably, MJF did not jump.

During the climactic period of the match, MJF slapped Guevara and Guevara countered with a super kick. Guevara went on to take the pin after Allin hit a Coffin Drop that Jungle Boy had to dodge at the last minute. A good way of building tension between all four entitled pillars.

Pillars Tag Team Match Grade: B+
