WWE Raw Winners And Grades

Bayley, Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch Open WWE Raw

Becky Lynch took a shot at Bayley for never main eventing WrestleMania, and that roast hit just as hard in WWE as it does in AEW.

The Elimination Chamber will be a Triple Threat match if Bayley or Becky Lynch wins in a Triple Threat against Bianca Belair. This is a new wrinkle in the Elimination Chamber that I don’t hate.

Adam Pearce’s idea of The Elimination Chamber beginning as a Triple Threat, to accommodate more women, is actually lowkey brilliant. It also points to how top-heavy WWE is right now if it has to squeeze Becky Lynch and Bayley into an Elimination Chamber.

Bayley, Becky Lynch and Bianca Opening Segment Grade: B+

The Judgment Day def. The Street Profits

This match opened with chants of “we want mami!” as Rhea Ripley continues to tour the world promoting WrestleMania.

Finn Balor pinned Angelo Dawkins, despite the fact that neither will be in the Elimination Chamber. Is WWE going to start another tease of a Street Profits breakup?

Edge walked out to a monster pop to make the save for the Street Profits.

As fate would have it, Rhea Ripley did show up to attack Beth Phoenix, and though fans booed the attack, there was still vocal support for Ripley.

Street Profits vs. Judgment Day Grade: B-

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley Contract Signing

Similar to Batista in 2010 Bobby Lashley walked out with a cavalcade of his own security, and he even added a nice touch by bringing out his own desk.

Bobby Lashley seemed legitimately amused by chants of “Bobby’s scared!”

Lashley has leaned into his new heel performer, the only thing missing is The Hurt Business, which should reunite this Black History Month at Elimination Chamber.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley Grade: A

Piper Niven def. Michin

Piper Niven was showcased against Michin, whose momentum is being directly affected by Niven’s return.

It doesn’t sound like much, but Piper Niven feels like the early favorite to win the Women’s WrestleMania Battle Royal.

Piper Niven vs. Michin Grade: C

Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn Face to Face

Prior to this segment, WWE cut away from a Baron Corbin segment to cut to something “more important.” After the Zayn-Rhodes segment, Baron Corbin predicted that Roman Reigns would destroy Sami Zayn in front of his family and friends. Corbin also reminded us that he was the last person to beat Reigns.

Fans chanted “Cody” as he stood in the same ring with Sami Zayn, who is falsely being hyped up as the next Daniel Bryan.

A lot of the wrestling media was head-over-heels for this segment, but it just validated the fact that Cody Rhodes is the alpha WrestleMania challenger. Rhodes. cut an awesome go-home promo on behalf of the under-confident Sami Zayn, who feels like a pig to slaughter at Elimination Chamber.

Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn Grade: A+

Cody Rhodes def. Baron Corbin

This impromptu match started during a backstage Baron Corbin promo, where Corbin spoke ill of Cody Rhodes, his dad and his dog.

Baron Corbin was being defeated by suit pants Cody Rhodes, furthering his burial in WWE.

Cody Rhodes vs. Baron Corbin Grade: C+

Team Raw def. Team SmackDown

Nikki Cross ran down to this ring like a bat out of hell, and almost legitimately collided with Carmella.

Based on crowd reactions, Asuka should be the overwhelming favorite to win the women’s Elimination Chamber and challenge Bianca Belair at WrestleMania. Raquel Rodriguez is a potential spoiler.

Asuka did not care about tag team rules, as she kicked her own teammates with impunity.

Backstage, Otis and Chad Gable had a segment with Maximum Male Models. Otis’ potential new model name is “Otís.” (pronounced: Otice)

Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown Grae: C+

Bronson Reed def. Mustafa Ali

Bronson Reed had a staredown with Alpha Academy backstage, which is great for him because those are two of the few people on the roster whom he is taller than.

Mustafa Ali, who had his own complaints behind-the-scenes about his booking, feels like a WWE parody of every “underutilized” wrestler who feels they don’t get enough opportunities. The parody was brutally squashed by Reed in a matter of minutes.

Bronson Reed vs. Mustafa Ali Grade: B-

Rick Boogs def. The Miz

Seth Rollins walked out to a MizTV segment with giant red boots, dressed as if The Village People added an astronaut.

This whole segment was about Seth Rollins’ boots until Miz brought up Logan Paul, prompting Rollins to get serious and tell Miz “shut up, Mike!”

Rollins ended the segment by performing the Stomp on The Miz with his oversized boots. The Miz might not wake up until net week. Unsurprisingly, Boos swooped in and vultured the win.

Prior to this match, Boogs shared the screen with Elias, which has been inevitable since the day Boogs touched a guitar.

Rick Boogs still needs to work out his catchphrases, but he has the type of natural connection with live crowds that few babyfaces do.

Rick Boogs vs. The Miz Grade: D+

Bianca Belair def. Bayley and Becky Lynch

Half the women’s roster ran down for this one, which led to a great spot where Bianca Belair yeeted Iyo Sky onto a crowd of women.

Though a Triple Threat Elimination Chamber would have been a fine concept, I also like that this possible stip was used only to get Bianca Belair over headed into the Elimination Chamber, where she is not competing.

Bianca Belair vs. Bayley and Becky Lynch Grade: B
