WWE SmackDown advertised The Usos defending the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Braun Strowman and Ricochet as Jey Uso’s whereabouts remain unknown. SmackDown also advertised Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross, Madcap and Santos Escobar in a Fatal 4-Way to become No. 1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship

Last week’s broadcast of SmackDown drew 2.384 million viewers.

Sami Zayn and Paul Heyman Open Raw

Fans are thirsty for Sami Zayn to defeat Roman Reigns fro the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Fans cheered Sami Zayn, but they also cheered Cody Rhodes when his name was brought up. Two things can be true.

This segment paled in comparison to Rhodes’ segment with WWE Raw from Monday, which was an all-time segment. A good as Sami Zayn and Paul Heyman were together, this was not even the best segment of the show.

The Banger Bros def. Hit Row

“The Bangers” utterly squashed Hit Row. Top Dolla didn’t tag in, and when Wade Barrett brought it up, Michael Cole said “they probably would have lost quicker.”

Between Baron Corbin and Hit Row, I don’t know who has been done dirtier in the Triple H Era.

Drew McIntyre feels like the odd man out this WrestleMania season. Surely The Banger Bros vs. The Viking Raiders is not a going to be a WrestleMania match, and if not, what does WWE do with Drew?

The Usos def. Braun Strowman and Ricochet

Jey Uso dramatically came out through the crowd as Samantha Irivn was doing the ring intros.

Sami Zayn thanked (and acknowledged) Jey Uso for what he did for him at the Royal Rumble. Zayn told Jey he doesn’t have to go down with the ship, but you and I both know he will.

The Usos worked this match as babyfaces, and Jey Uso scored the winning pinfall over Ricochet. The Usos are reunited, but whether or not The Bloodline is back together was not confirmed. Even if and when Jey Uso returns to The Bloodline by betraying Zayn at Elimination Chamber, I think he’ll do so conflicted and against his will.

Ronda Rousey Returns, Destroys Natalya

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler laid out Natalya. Rousey vs. Baszler is a WrestleMania-caliber program, but teaming with Baszler is not.

Shotzi just may end up backing into WrestleMania if she continues this feud with Rousey and Baszler.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan def. Green and Deville

Green and Deville don’t have an official tag team name, but I suggest The Karen Connection.

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville are essentially playing the same Karen characters, so WWE decided to pair them together. At some point, Green and Deville have to take on Bianca Belair and Naomi, if she ever returns.

Judging by how she’s been booked since her return to WWE, Chelsea Green is certainly going to be a character-driven wrestler, rather than a competitive one.

Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross, Santos Escobar and Madcap Moss

Madcap Moss debuted new ring gear that his girlfriend Emma picked out. Hopefully she can pick out some new theme music next.

There were some pretty cool lucha exchanges between Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio, but not a lot of heat for them as Escobar is a still early in his main roster career.

Gunther was watching from a skybox and filmed with a fisheye lens. His Intercontinental reign is now being described as the longest reign of this century.

Madcap Moss’ win certainly as shocking, and the man has no chance at beating Gunther next week.

After the show, Paul Heyman gave Jimmy Uso an assignment from The Tribal Chief. The Uso’s were instructed to stay home and watch the show on television, suggesting WWE was unable to get The Usos cleared to go to Canada.
