Bitgert is a cryptocurrency project that has reached a considerable level of popularity, and its volatile price action has led investors in the project to ask themselves just how high Bitgert could go, with $0.01 being one of the most commonly mentioned price target.
So, will Bitgert reach 1 cent? As we will demonstrate a bit further below in the article, it’s extremely unlikely that this will ever happen. The supply of the BRISE token is simply too large to support such a price tag.
Before we take a closer look at Bitgert’s chances of reaching 1 cent, let’s first refresh our knowledge about the basics of the Bitgert project.
What is Bitgert?
Bitgert is a crypto and blockchain project that’s working on a variety of initiatives:
- Brise Chain – A scalable EVM-compatible blockchain platform
- PayBrise – A payments processor for the BRISE token
- Bitgert Ventures – Venture investment fund for the crypto industry
The Bitgert project also says that they are working on a cryptocurrency exchange and a P2P marketplace, although these products don’t seem to be operational at the moment.
The project is centered around the BRISE token, which also functions as the native asset of the Brise Chain blockchain. The token is called BRISE because the Bitgert project was previously called Bitrise.
Brise Chain is a highly scalable blockchain that’s compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Essentially, this means that developers looking to build on Brise Chain can use all the popular tools that have already been created for Ethereum development. In addition, Brise Chain can be used with popular Ethereum-compatible wallets like MetaMask.
Brise Chain is designed as a general-purpose blockchain that can support a variety of use cases, including NFTs, decentralized finance, crypto gaming, metaverse projects and more. The blockchain has been live since February 2022, although we should note that it was previously called Bitgert Chain.
It’s worth keeping in mind that much of the functionality, such as the BRISE staking feature, seems to be launched on the BNB Chain blockchain and not on Brise Chain.
The Bitgert team claims that during testing, Brise Chain has been capable of handling as many as 100,000 transactions per second.
However, the performance of Brise Chain comes with an important caveat. The blockchain uses a Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism, which is a relatively centralized approach to securing blockchains. Any validator that wants to join the network needs to be approved by a majority of existing validators.
So, Brise Chain can be helpful if you’re looking to make transactions with extremely low fees and fast speeds. However, if you think decentralization is of high importance, it’s better to look elsewhere.
The Bitgert project also has a venture arm called Bitgert Ventures, which invests in early-stage projects in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. According to the team, the goal of Bitgert Ventures is to support entrepreneurs who are committed to “promoting economic freedom worldwide”.
Bitgert Ventures has invested in several projects, including Okse, DeeLance, Symbiosis, Carbon and many others.
Will Bitgert reach 1 cent?
While $0.01 might seem like a realistically achievable price, we have to keep in mind that the supply of Bitgert is truly massive. At the time of writing, there’s 395.7 trillion BRISE tokens in circulation, and the coin’s total supply is 1 quadrillion. Therefore, a price of 1 cent would imply a truly massive market cap valuation for BRISE.
Bitgert currently has a price of $0.0000002507 and a market capitalization of $99.4 million. In order to reach 1 cent, the price of Bitgert would have to increase by 39,888x. This would imply a market capitalization of $3.9 trillion for the project.
It’s worth keeping in mind that the total supply of BRISE is 1,000 trillion tokens. So, if the entire supply of BRISE was in circulation and the token traded at $0.01, the market cap of Bitgert would be $10 trillion.
There’s currently no reason to believe that such a valuation for Bitgert would be possible. In fact, even if we use the $3.9 trillion figure, which is based on the token’s current circulating supply, it would be bigger than the all-time high market cap of the entire cryptocurrency market.
At a valuation of $3.9 trillion, Bitgert would also be bigger than Apple, which is currently the world’s most valuable company ($2.8 trillion).
So, will Bitgert reach 1 cent? The answer is almost definitely no. The valuation that such a price would imply is simply not realistic.
Bitgert price prediction — What does the future have in store for BRISE?
While we’ve hopefully shown that you should not expect Bitgert to reach 1 cent, that doesn’t mean that BRISE couldn’t have some bullish price action in the future.
At the time of writing, the Bitgert price prediction on CoinCodex is forecasting a very bullish phase for the coin in the medium term. While further price drops are anticipated until November 2023, BRISE is fforecasted to enter a bullish rally towards the end of the year, which could take the token’s price above its current all-time high.
While the BRISE coin price prediction is expecting major volatility in the market, the token is forecasted to trade at a significantly higher price one year from now. However, even in this optimistic scenario, the Bitgert price would be nowhere near the $0.01 mark.
Of course, you should keep in mind that predicting prices for highly volatile assets like BRISE is difficult, and the forecast can change dramatically based on market conditions.
The bottom line — Don’t expect miracles from the Bitgert project
Overall, we are not seeing enough compelling reasons why the Bitgert (BRISE) price would increase all the way up to 1 cent. The Brise Chain blockchain platform is not particularly innovative, as it’s essentially a clone of Ethereum that uses a much more centralized consensus mechanism to offer cheaper and faster transactions.
In addition, it’s concerning that there doesn’t appear to be any public information about the team behind the Bitgert project.
Bitgert used to list a team on their website, but deleted the section from the website after community members began criticizing the project for allegedly using AI-generated images to represent its supposed team members. This is a major red flag, as it essentially means that the project attempted to deceive its community to appear more legitimate.
In addition, the Bitgert project is advertising a cryptocurrency exchange called Bitgert Exchange, which doesn’t appear to be working. They are also listing the Bitgert P2P Marketplace as one of their featured products, but the marketplace appears to be completely empty.
Overall, Bitgert doesn’t appear to be a particularly trustworthy or transparent project. Not only is the BRISE token extremely unlikely to reach 1 cent, but it could also see a further price decline if there’s no major developments related to the project. Given the current state of Bitgert’s products, it’s unlikely that it will match its all-time high again unless the project or token undergoes some drastic changes.
