Why The Colts Removed A Video On The 2025-2026 NFL Schedule

In an effort to promote its newly released 2025-2026 NFL schedule, the Indianapolis Colts compiled a collection of digital video game clips to promote its upcoming opponent matchups for the new season.

Unfortunately, its attempt of humorous creativity was met with a swift post and delete on Wednesday evening following a crude joke at the expense of Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill and alleged corporation rights violation

“We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek,” the team said in a statement to ESPN on Thursday.”

The video itself was a spoof based off the popular Microsoft video game called Minecraft. The clip showcased an image of a Dolphin with the No. 10 jersey labeled “Hill” on the back of its nameplate to advertise the Colts week one matchup versus the Miami Dolphins.

The Hill-named dolphin was swimming along the ocean before he was pulled over by a Coast Guard boat with a ringing siren. The sequence was an ode to Hill being physically assaulted by Miami-Dade police not far from Hard Rock Stadium prior to a game last September.

Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus was the driving force for getting the officers that antagonized his client fired. The traffic citations Hill was pulled over for before being physically detained were dropped.

According to Rosenhaus, Hill wasn’t the least bit upset about the Colts’ recent social media post.

“He laughed about it, and didn’t think they needed to take it down on his account,” Rosenhaus said.

On the corporation rights violation front, it’s alleged that the Colts didn’t seek permission from Microsoft to use the images and likeness of its company-owned Minecraft game. The Los Angeles Chargers carried a silimar Minecraft-themed schedule release video as well, but announced they secured permission from Microsoft to utilize the gaming theme for its video.
