When Will ‘Tulsa King’ Spinoff Series ‘NOLA King’ Be Coming Out?

Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King Season 3 introduces Samuel L. Jackson, who is getting his own spinoff series with NOLA King. When can viewers expect the series to arrive on streaming on Paramount+?

Tulsa King Season 3 wrapped up its third season on Sunday with Episode 10. Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr.— simply known as “Lee” to Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi, made his first appearance in Episode 9 and played a pivotal role in Episode 10.

Paramount+ announced in a press release in July that it had ordered NOLA King to series. The official summary of the series reads, “NOLA King follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Jackson) who, after befriending Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) during a ten-year stint in federal prison, is sent to Tulsa by New York’s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all.

“Inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed with the possibilities of second chances, Washington returns to New Orleans, the home he abandoned forty years ago, to rekindle his relationship with his family, friends, and to take control of the city he left behind. In so doing, he incurs the wrath of his former employers in New York and makes himself vulnerable to old NOLA foes, both criminal and cop.”

The full cast of NOLA King has not yet been announced.

The final act in Tulsa King Season 3, Episode 10 — titled Jesus Lizard — found Lee bidding adieu to Dwight and his crew in Tulsa and inviting them to “holler” should they ever come to New Orleans.

While there was no indication of any of his new associates making plans to visit Lee, it seems all but a given that at least Dwight will come by to see his old friend, especially since both he and Lee undoubtedly remain in the crosshairs of Quiet Ray Renzetti (James Russo) after they blasted two of the New York mob boss’ hitmen in Episode 9.

‘NOLA King’ Is Starting Production In Early 2026

NOLA King, which is being executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, Samuel L. Jackson and Tulsa King creator Taylor Sheridan, is looking to start production in February 2026, Deadline reported in July.

While no official release date for NOLA King has been announced, viewers in all likelihood will be able to start streaming the series sometime in the fall of 2026, if not earlier, should it follow the same production pattern as Tulsa King Season 3.

In the press release announcing the series order of NOLA King in July, Stallone said in a statement that he was thrilled with the idea of expanding the Tulsa King universe, which was presented to him by then-Paramount Global Co-CEO and Showtime/MTV Entertainment President Chris McCarthy.

“Chris McCarthy came to me with a game-changing idea: to elevate my show beyond a mob boss series, creating a dynamic, family-driven franchise,” Stallone said. “I was immediately on board. Sam Jackson is the only choice to anchor this new adventure in NOLA and David Glasser and 101 are the perfect partners to bring it to life.”

While Jackson begins to build his kingdom in New Orleans, Stallone is set to return to Tulsa King. Paramount+ announced on the day that Tulsa King Season 3 was released that the series was renewed for Season 4.

Like NOLA King, no release date was announced by the streaming platform for the debut of Tulsa King Season 4.
