Apple Music listeners, the moment you’ve been waiting for all year is almost here. When is Apple Music Replay coming out in 2025? Here’s everything to know about the anticipated music feature, including its likely release date based on previous years.
Just like Spotify Wrapped, Apple Music Replay compiles users’ top songs, albums, artists, playlists, genres and stations into year-end insights. The music streaming platform uses listening history, number of plays, and time spent listening to a song, artist, album, playlist, genre or station to create personalized results for each person.
Apple Music Replay also provides a year-end highlight reel, allowing you to celebrate your year in music “with an audio and visual recap of the music that you listened to the most,” according to the platform. Then comes the fun part: You can share your unique insights, from top artists to major milestones, on social media for friends and family to see, too.
The recap feature launched on Nov. 15, 2019, and has grown increasingly popular ever since, serving as Apple Music’s alternative to Spotify Wrapped. While Apple Music Replay has typically launched in late November or early December, when will it likely be released in 2025?

“Use Listening History” should also be enabled on all your devices. According to Apple, users should:
- “On your iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings > Apps > Music and turn on Use Listening History.
- On your Mac: In the Apple Music app, choose Music > Settings, click the General tab, then select Use Listening History.
- On your Android: At the top of the Apple Music app, tap the More button, tap Settings, then turn on Use Listening History.”

Unlike Spotify Wrapped — which pauses data collection during the period between yearly iterations (most likely from late November to early January) — Apple Music never stops collecting your listening data.
Apple Music uses a year-long Replay system, allowing users to access weekly stats beginning in early February. The platform continues collecting data through the end of the year.
