Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s South Park Season 27 continues with Episode 2 this week. What time does it begin on cable and streaming and what can fans expect after the show’s blistering debut?

South Park Season 27 Episode 1 was released on Comedy Central the night of July 23, Earlier in the day, Paramount Global and Parker and Stone agreed to a five-year pact to produce 50 new episodes over the next five years and bring the show’s entire 26-season library to Paramount+. The deal made Parker and Stone billionaires since it brings the duo $300 million a year for the next five years, worth $1.5 billion in total.

The premiere episode was a hot topic not only among viewership and the media but within the White House as Parker and Stone brutally poked fun at President Donald Trump in both animated and live-action deepfake form. Trump was also featured in a short teaser for Season 27 Episode 2, but whether the president makes the final cut is yet to be seen.

South Park Season 27 Episode 2 will be released on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central on cable and will stream on Paramount+ on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.

The title of Season 27, Episode 2 is Got a Nut, South Park announced in an X post on Tuesday. The official description for Season 2 reads, “When Mr. Mackay loses his job, he desperately tries to find a new way to make a living.”

Two photos accompany the post, which can be seen below. In the first photo, a masked Mr. Garrison is accompanied by a South Park-illustrated version of U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem in front of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement van, while Cartman sits behind a laptop on his bed with a surprised look in the other.

A ‘South Park’ Season 27 Episode 2 Teaser Was Released Last Week

In a 20-second teaser clip, South Park announced on July 29 that it was taking a one-week hiatus in the South Park Season 27 schedule, as well as teaser footage that showed Mr. Garrison holding a rifle and pulling up a mask on the lower half of his face while riding in an ICE convoy.

The footage also showed President Donald Trump rubbing Satan’s leg under a dinner table and Cartman arguing with a South Park Elementary student about abortion.

The Garrison and Noem photo appears to be part of an extension of the teaser of Season 27 Episode 2 released on X last week. It is unclear, however, whether Trey Parker and Matt Stone will continue their comedic assault on Trump and whether Cartman’s verbal volley with the South Park Elementary classmate will be included in the episode.

Parker and Stone vowed at San Diego Comic Con (via Deadline) at the end of July that they will not present pre-canned episodes to South Park audiences, since the duo has been known to push deadlines to make their show as topically timely as possible.

South Park Season 27 premiere episode, titled Sermon on the ‘Mount, is available to stream on Paramount, along with Seasons 1-26.

The five-year deal that allowed for the first 26 seasons of South Park to be streamed on HBO Max expired Tuesday and the episodes are no longer available on the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming platform.
