What To Stream This Weekend On Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Hulu, Paramount+ And More

It’s the weekend at last! It’s getting nice and warm outside, but after you’ve had your fun in the sun, it’s a great time to catch up on all the myriad shows and movies streaming these days—and this weekend is a doozy.

Each week I find all the best new shows and movies to stream on all your favorite streaming services and compile them into a list. There are two sections. One for new stuff and one for ongoing shows that I’m either covering or watching.

This weekend we have a new Arnold Schwarzenegger spy show, a brand new WWII action flick and a fun new show about magic and martial arts, plus a whole bunch more. Several shows are airing their season or series finales this weekend also.

Let’s dive right in!

New Shows & Movies

American Born Chinese (Disney+)

With some of the cast from Everything, Everywhere All At Once, this is another world-spanning, martial arts and magic story though geared toward a younger audience. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan are both in this Disney+ series, which is exciting. The entire season is already out, with Disney dropping it all at once instead of weekly like they normally do.

FUBAR (Netflix)

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbarro star in this wacky spy show about a father and daughter who are both undercover CIA spies. It looks pretty dumb, but also like a fun little romp. And it’s been a while since I’ve seen Schwarzenegger in anything, so that’s fun.

Blood & Gold (Netflix)

This German language action movie could have been called “There Must Be 50 Ways To Kill A Nazi”. Ultra-violence, wacky action, and imaginative deaths for the Nazi scumbags who are blown up, set on fire, shot, etc. etc. etc.

Being Mary Tyler Moore (HBO Max)

HBO’s documentary on Mary Tyler Moore is out this weekend on HBO Max—er, just Max. But also on HBO. It’s confusing. I don’t like this rebranding at all! In any case, fans of one of sitcom’s greatest stars will want to tune into this one.

Continuing Shows

Succession / Barry (HBO)

The series finale for Barry and the series finale for Succession both air Sunday. I’m excited but I also have pretty mixed emotions. I’m sad that Succession is ending. I’ll miss it! And I’m really not feeling Barry’s fourth season. It feels like it should have ended in Season 3. There are still great moments, great performances, but it’s just so bizarre. We’ll see if Bill Hader can pull it off.

Yellowjackets (Showtime)

The Season 2 finale of Yellowjackets came out Friday (and Sunday on regular TV) and was really quite terrible, unfortunately. You can read my review right here. What a huge disappointment this season has been.

Fear The Walking Dead (AMC)

Of course, it could be worse: It could be Fear The Walking Dead, which is just beyond terrible. The third episode released on AMC+ Thursday and comes out on AMC this Sunday. It’s truly an abysmal episode of television. You can read my review here.

From (MGM+)

Two other shows I’m following closely: From, which has been kind of wobbly the last couple episodes. The MGM+ show drops its sixth Season 2 episode on Sunday. My review of last week’s episode is easily my harshest yet.

Love & Death (HBO)

Also, Love & Death on HBO which is quite gripping with some marvelous performances. I’m not a huge True Crime guy but I do enjoy it when it’s this good.

Ms. Davis (Peacock) / Silo (Apple TV) / The Great (Hulu)

I still need to get into Ms. Davis on Peacock and Silo on Apple TV+ and have yet to start the new season of The Great on Hulu. Just not enough time! Never enough time and far too many shows to juggle, but that will change as three wrap up this weekend.

What are you watching these days? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook.

Speaking of TV shows, this fun little Willow Twitter drama caught me by surprise this week:

As always, I’d love it if you’d follow me here on this blog and subscribe to my YouTube channel and my Substack so you can stay up-to-date on all my TV, movie and video game reviews and coverage. Thanks!
