Prime Video released the official trailer for Season 3 in mid-June. Belly and Jeremiah very much in love, while her relationship with Conrad is in the backseat (for now). “First loves are important, but they’re not as important as lasts,” Belly says.

Belly and Jeremiah are not only together; they’re engaged. Without the support of both of their moms, Belly feels hesitant about moving forward with the wedding, but Jeremiah promises they’ll figure it out. However, everywhere she goes, Belly is reminded of Conrad. Will those memories stop her from marrying his brother?

While those who read the book might think they already know how the show will end, Han said to expect some twists along the way. “There are definitely changes,” the author revealed to Entertainment Weekly. “There are surprises. And there are things that aren’t exactly like the books.”

Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on the third book in Jenny Han’s trilogy, We’ll Always Have Summer, which was released in 2011.

The next chapter will pick up four years after the season two finale. Belly is now at the end of her junior year of college, and she’s still seeing Jeremiah — the Fisher brother she chose to be with over her childhood crush Conrad. Meanwhile, Conrad is off at Stanford studying to become a doctor.
