Mel Owens’ journey to finding love is coming to a “shocking” end, according to ABC. Over the past few months, viewers have watched the NFL star turned sports lawyer step into the role of the second-ever Golden Bachelor, dating 23 women from across the country. Will the 66-year-old father of two leave Antigua engaged or single?
Heading into the dramatic finale, there are only two women left vying for Owens’ heart: Cindy Angelcyk Cullers, a 60-year-old retired biomedical engineer from Austin, Texas, and Peg Munson, a 62-year-old retired firefighter and bomb technician from Las Vegas, Nevada.
No one was sent home last week. Instead, Owens had two Fantasy Suite dates that turned into overnight stays with the two remaining women. In the episode, host Jesse Palmer put the hot seat on the former football star, asking why he hasn’t told either woman how he feels about them.
“I don’t want to use the word [love] loosely…it’s a big deal,” Mel responded. “You can’t use it and not mean it.”
ABC teased that tonight will be a “crucial week on the island of Antigua” as Owen’s time to find his wife is almost up. Mel’s family, including his two sons, Lucas, 20, and Andre, 18, will be arriving on the Island to officially meet Cindy and Peg. The final two women will also join Jesse in front of a live studio audience to watch the episode unfold.
Here’s everything to know about how to watch The Golden Bachelor Season 2 finale to see who Owens ends up with — or whether he decides to go his own way.
