Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s South Park surprisingly skipped its normal time slot this week and pushed its new episode to Halloween night. What time does the episode begin on cable and streaming?
After five episodes aired during Season 27, South Park strangely branded the Oct. 15 show Season 28, Episode 1 with no explanation. Episode 2 of Season 28 was originally set to air on Comedy Central on Wednesday night and begin streaming Thursday morning on Paramount+.
Then on Tuesday, Comedy Central pulled a video on X that was promoting Wednesday’s episode, and replaced it with a post that said a “special Halloween episode” would be released on Friday instead.
As such, Friday’s Halloween episode will premiere on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will begin streaming on Saturday on Paramount+ at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.
Paramount+ has two subscription packages. It is available through the ad-based Paramount+ Essential tier for $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year or the ad-free Paramount+ for $12.99 per month or $119.99 per year. Both plans are free for one week before billing begins.
What Will The ‘South Park’ Halloween Episode Be About?
“South Park’s” Halloween Episode is titled The Woman in the Hat. Whether The Woman in the Hat will actually have Halloween elements, though — like The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror episodes, for example — remains to be seen. Otherwise, Trey Parker and Matt Stone may simply be calling it a Halloween episode because it’s airing on Halloween night.
While the three photos from two posts on South Park’s X account about the Halloween Episode don’t give much context to what Friday’s storyline will be about — apart from the continuing President Donald Trump and Satan storyline and the destruction of the White House’s East Wing for a ballroom — a new video teaser on South Park’s Instagram page is shedding a bit more light.
In a South Park Instagram video posted on Wednesday, there’s a shot of the lightning flashing outside of the White House before spooky music begins, as well as narration by Satan. From there, the action shifts to a room inside the White House where the likes of Trump and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem are sitting around a table.
Also at the table is a blonde-haired woman appearing to be Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who is conducting a séance and uttering, “I am speaking to the entity in this house.” Also in the room is a scientist looking at a curious specimen under a microscope and a few seconds later, a naked Trump is seen in his and Satan’s bedroom, where he’s vigorously cleaning himself with Towelie as the purple cloth character screams out loud.
Also in the promo video, Randy Marsh is seen talking with Stan in the family’s car, saying, “We can’t afford to stay in our house, so we’re moving in with your grandpa” as they pull up to his residence at the Shady Acres Retirement Community. The scene then cuts to Grandpa Marvin in the facility yelling, “This is a bunch of bullcrap!”
The “terrifying new” Halloween episode of South Park, the teaser promises — “with new horrors unleashed” — premieres Friday night on Comedy Central at 10 ET/PT and begins streaming on Saturday on Paramount+ at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.
