The Bear Season 4 — starring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach — is returning soon to Hulu and FX.
The official logline for The Bear Season 4 reads, “Season four of FX’s The Bear finds Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto (White), Sydney Adamu (Edebiri) and Richard ‘Richie’ Jerimovich (Moss-Bachrach) pushing forward, determined not only to survive, but also to take The Bear to the next level. With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome.”
Also returning for The Bear Season 4 are Liza Colón-Zayas, Lionel Boyce, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson and Jamie Lee Curtis.
All 10 episodes of The Bear Season 4 will be available to stream on Hulu on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET / 11 p.m. PT. The Bear Season will also begin airing on cable’s FX at the same time.
For viewers who don’t subscribe to Hulu, the streaming service is available for $9.99 per month with ads or $18.99 per month without ads. Hulu is also available through a bundling package with Disney+ and Max.
How Have Critics And Viewers Received ‘The Bear’?
For viewers who have yet to begin watching The Bear, the official summary of the multiple Emmy Award-winning series reads, “A young chef from the fine dining world comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family.
“A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide. As Carmy fights to transform both the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveals itself as his chosen family.”
A critics rating for Season 4 of The Bear from Rotten Tomatoes is not yet available. The first three seasons, however, have been lauded by critics.
Season 1 of The Bear received a perfect 100% “fresh” score based on 80 reviews from Rotten Tomatoes critics, while Season 2 earned a 99% “fresh” rating based on 112 reviews. The Bear Season 3’s RT critics’ rating dropped a bit but was still impressive, with an 89% “fresh” rating based on 103 reviews.
RT’s audience scores have dwindled significantly, though, from The Bear Season 1 and Season 2, when each season earned a 92% “fresh” score on RT’s Popcornmeter based on 2,500 verified user ratings apiece.
The Bear Season 3’s Popcornmeter score dropped to 51% “rotten” based on 1,000-plus verified user ratings.
The Bear Season 4 begins streaming on Hulu on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/11 p.m. PT and premieres on FX at the same time.
