What Time Does It Start On Saturday?

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his WrestleMania 41 opponent, John Cena, got one more face-to-face interaction on Friday during SmackDown ahead of their clash at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Cena delivered more gems on the mic, but Rhodes had some solid retorts.

It cannot be ignored—the Las Vegas crowd definitely attempted to turn on Rhodes. The fans booed him loudly every time he tried to speak, and he definitely seemed a bit bothered by it. However, unlike Charlotte Flair a few weeks ago in Chicago, Rhodes snatched some respect back with his own bit of genius mic work.

Rhodes’ comeback, which included a “you’re overrated” dig at Cena, helped create a perfect atmosphere before the clash in Day 2’s main event.

Here is a look at the full segment.

That’s Day 2, and we’ll definitely have our share of coverage on Sunday’s epic matches. Before that, Day 1 will take over the professional wrestling grand stage when seven intriguing matches are on tap.

3 Things We Learned About WrestleMania 41 on Smackdown

Randy Orton will wrestle at WrestleMania 41. The Viper cut a choppy in-ring promo on SmackDown, announcing an open challenge to anyone brave enough to face him on Sunday. It could be a great spot for an upcoming NXT Superstar.

I’m hoping it’s not reigning NXT Champion Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, or Trick Williams. All three of those men have a bright future, and it seems there is no way Orton is going to do anything but have a short and fairly dominant win over someone as he heads into Backlash.

Orton is on the Backlash poster, so it stands to reason there will be something compelling for him at WrestleMania 41. We’ll have to wait until Sunday to find out what that will be.

It seems we might be getting a WWE Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania, or at least on the next episode of SmackDown. DIY interrupted the Street Profits’ title defense against The Motor City Machine Guns, and it appears a three-team title match is inevitable.

That match has the potential to be epic, so I was hoping it would happen at WrestleMania 41. If not, perhaps it’ll be a featured match this time next week when SmackDown heads to Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Aleister Black’s vignette ran on Smackdown with a 4.25.25 date displayed on the screen.

That should rule him out of any appearance at WrestleMania 41. It’s still exciting to see him return, and we’re waiting to see who he’ll feud with once he lands on WWE programming.
