Executives and officials of companies are now showing their concerns about work from home culture; now, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is also outspoken on the same.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the world has seen huge paradigm shifts in many terms. Work culture has also seen a shift where instead of sticking to the offices, all sorts of work has moved to the native places of employees. Following the trend, almost every other company across the industries has opted out of the same, considering employees’ safety concerns and maintaining the work quantity. However, when things are normal, companies want their employees to come back to the workplace citing different reasons, including work quality, maintaining work pace, etc.
Now, multi-billionaire entrepreneur Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk have also voiced the same, calling out his company employees to return to their workplaces. Seems like the richest man in the world has done with the whole concept of working from home.
On late Tuesday, Chief Executive Officer of Tesla, Elon Musk, sent an email to employees at his electric car company. In the email, he elaborated on the earlier message to the executive staff regarding the need for employees at the office. The email that Elon Musk wrote was titled ‘To be super clear’, where he stated that everyone is required to spend a minimum of forty hours per week in the office.
Further, Elon Musk also explained that the office must be where actual colleagues belong rather than some so-called remote office. While giving an ultimatum in a warning tone, Tesla’s CEO said that if any of the employees didn’t show up to the company, this would be treated as the employee’s resignation. Tesla employees received the mail sent by Elon Musk on Wednesday morning.
Elon Musk wrote that the more senior the employee, the more their presence must be visible in the company. He said that following the same, he lived so much in the factory that anyone on the line who needed to see him could reach him while working alongside him. Musk said that if he had not done what he had done and is doing, Tesla company would have been bankrupt long ago. Earlier, Elon Musk praised the employees at Tesla’s Chinese factory, where employees worked 12 hours shifts, six days a week.
