The Project Runway host has hosted her annual spooky bash since 2000 and has continued the Halloween tradition nearly every year, except for brief hiatuses in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, Klum and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, both dressed up as E.T., the main character in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film of the same name. Klum’s finger even bent the same way E.T.’s does in the beloved movie. She told People at the time that she chose the extraterrestrial figure because E.T. has been “part of most of our lives,” and she has always been “a big fan.”

Klum has dropped a few hints about her costume this year. She’s revealed it won’t be “nice” —instead, it’s leaning toward the “ugly” and “scary” side.

“I’m going to be very ugly because I always try to do something different,” she teased to People, adding that she came up with a look unlike her past costumes, which have included a worm, a massive peacock, a werewolf, clones, and more.

Klum also told USA Today that she wanted to dress up as something “very ugly and unusual, but something also that everyone will recognize and know.” The former AGT judge said she loves the transformation and when “people don’t really see me in there anymore.”

Heidi Klum hasn’t revealed her 2025 Halloween costume yet, but she’s been teasing glimpses of her look on social media throughout the day. The official unveiling will take place at her annual Halloween party on Friday, Oct. 31, in New York City, likely in the late evening.

In the early afternoon on Oct. 31, Klum shared the first sneak peek of her costume, showing a close-up op sharp teeth. She also posted a video with greenish face paint, and another as she was getting prosthetics applied to her face. We even got a behind-the-scenes look at all the makeup she’ll need to transform.

In the comments, fans speculated that she could be Greta Gremlin from the Gremlins franchise, a snake, a sea creature, or even the Grinch, thanks to her green-hued appearance.
