Week 7 Fantasy Football Injury Report

Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season was not kind to star receivers. Puka Nacua (ankle), Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) and Garrett Wilson (knee) all picked up injuries that could sideline them for at least the next week or two, which could force fantasy football managers to scramble for replacements on the waiver wire.

They weren’t the only ones who went down with injuries, though. The nightmare season continued for Calvin Ridley (hamstring), while Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) could join quarterback Kyler Murray on the sideline in Week 7. DJ Moore (groin) wound up spending Monday night in a Washington, D.C.-area hospital, although head coach Ben Johnson dubbed him “day-to-day” on Tuesday.

While receivers were the hardest-hit position in Week 6, a few backup running backs, one backup quarterback and one notable tight end also picked up injuries that could limit their availability moving forward.

Here’s what fantasy managers need to know from an injury standpoint heading into Week 7.

Notable Injuries

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams WR (ankle)

Nacua’s dominant season temporarily ground to a halt Sunday, as he suffered an ankle sprain that limited him to a season-low two catches for 28 yards against the Baltimore Ravens.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters Monday that the team planned to be “day-to-day” with Nacua, who “felt pretty good today.” He added that “there’s nothing on the scan that looks like it’s going to be long-term,” but “the uncertainty of this week is a real thing.”

The Rams are heading to London to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7 and have a bye in Week 8. They might err on the side of caution and keep Nacua sidelined to give him to two full weeks to recover, so Nacua managers should start making contingency plans in case he’s unavailable Sunday.

Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR (hamstring)

Egbuka burst onto the fantasy football scene with 25 catches for 445 yards and five touchdowns over the first five weeks of his NFL career. However, his fantasy managers should prepare for life without him for a bit, as he suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Egbuka was set to undergo testing Tuesday to determine how much time he’d miss, but “it is expected to be some.” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said “it does not seem like it is that serious,” although he also said that he expects Egbuka to miss some time.

Fellow Buccaneers WR Mike Evans, who’s been sidelined with his own hamstring injury since Week 3, could return to practice this week. However, head coach Todd Bowles said both WR Chris Godwin and RB Bucky Irving are “not in play” to return Monday against the Detroit Lions. If Evans can’t return either, Baker Mayfield’s receiving corps will be WRs Sterling Shepard, Tez Johnson and Kameron Johnson along with TE Cade Otton.

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets WR (knee)

After finishing with minus-10 net passing yards in Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos, the New York Jets’ aerial attack is about to go from bad to worse. Wilson hyperextended his knee late in the game and is “expected to miss a couple of weeks,” according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, although he “avoided a serious knee injury.”

The Jets faced the Carolina Panthers this week and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 before their bye in Week 9. Cimini reported “there’s some thought that Wilson could return after the bye week,” which would give him nearly a full month to recover from this injury.

Given the pathetic state of the Jets’ offense—they’re dead last in the NFL with only 144.2 passing yards per game—fantasy managers shouldn’t necessarily rush to pick up Jets WRs Josh Reynolds, Tyler Johnson or Arian Smith. The offense still figures to run through star RB Breece Hall, although rookie TE Mason Taylor could benefit from additional looks.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals WR (concussion)

Fresh off racking up four catches for a season-high 98 yards in Week 5, Marvin Harrison Jr. got off to a fast start against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. However, he hit his head on the turf following a 21-yard catch in the second quarter and did not return after being diagnosed with a concussion.

Harrison will now have to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before he’s allowed to return. ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss noted that Harrison did return one week after suffering a concussion in Week 6 last season, although there’s no guarantee that he’ll do the same this year.

Fantasy managers won’t have clarity on Harrison’s status until later in the week. If he misses the Cardinals’ Week 7 game against the Green Bay Packers, star tight end Trey McBride could be in for a busy afternoon. Zay Jones led the team with five catches for 79 yards in Harrison’s absence last week and could be worth a flier in deeper leagues, too.

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans WR (hamstring)

In Week 5, Ridley hauled in five catches for a season-high 131 yards in the Titans’ come-from-behind win over the Cardinals. His attempt to follow that up with an encore Sunday ended after only one 18-yard catch. He suffered a hamstring injury in the first half against the Las Vegas Raiders and did not return.

As of Wednesday morning, the Titans haven’t issued an update on Ridley’s status moving forward. However, they have plenty of other turmoil to focus on at the moment, as they fired head coach Brian Callahan on Monday and just installed Mike McCoy as their interim head coach.

Given Ridley’s age (30) and how notoriously tricky hamstring injuries can be, Ridley’s fantasy managers should be making other plans for Week 7. Granted, given his disappointing start to the season, he was already trending toward fringe-starter territory in standard 10- and 12-team leagues. If the Titans reveal that he’s expected to miss multiple weeks, he’ll be outright droppable.

DJ Moore, Chicago Bears WR (groin)

Moore didn’t have a chance to celebrate the Bears’ thrilling last-second victory over the Washington Commanders on Monday night. Instead, he spent the night in a local hospital, where he was evaluated for a groin injury.

Head coach Ben Johnson told reporters Tuesday that Moore is already back in Chicago and the Bears got “good news” on his injury. However, he declined to share details of why Moore had to spend the night in the hospital, saying the details were personal.

Johnson said the Bears plan to take it “day-by-day” with Moore this week. If he can’t go against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III figure to get peppered with targets.

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns TE (knee)

The Browns could be without their top tight end this week, as Njoku left in the fourth quarter of their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a knee injury and did not return. Prior to his departure, he hauled in three catches for 28 yards.

On Monday, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that it’s “unclear at this point if he’ll play” against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, “but the belief is that the injury isn’t anything significant.”

If Njoku does miss Sunday’s game, rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. figures to be the primary beneficiary. Wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Isaiah Bond should be in line for additional targets as well.

Quick Hits

Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals RB: Demercado suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter against the Colts and did not return to the game. If he’s forced to miss time, the Cardinals figure to split backfield touches between Michael Carter and Bam Knight.

Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams RB: Corum suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter in Sunday’s win over the Ravens, although he was reportedly cleared to return. Even if he does play in Week 7, he’s nothing more than a handcuff for Kyren Williams managers.

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts QB: A “freak pregame incident” with an exercise band left Richardson with an orbital fracture that landed him on injured reserve Monday, according to ESPN’s Stephen Holder. Unless you’re in a deep keeper league or a dynasty league, there’s no reason to hang onto him, especially with roster spots at a premium during bye weeks.

Possible Returns

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys WR: Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said he hopes to see Lamb “out on the practice field at some point this week,” although Cowboys COO Stephen Jones said they “should get CeeDee back” for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders. His return could hurt WR George Pickens and TE Jake Ferguson, although it should only help QB Dak Prescott, who’s been lights-out in recent weeks.

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers TE: According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, the Niners expect Kittle to return after he missed five games with a hamstring injury. The timing couldn’t be much better, as WR Jauan Jennings revealed he’s been playing through five broken ribs along with ankle and shoulder injuries, while fellow wideout Ricky Pearsall has missed the past two games with a knee injury.

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR: According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, “the hope is” that Evans can return to practice this week. The bad news is that the Bucs play on Monday night, so anyone hoping to start Evans may need a backup plan regardless.
