Elon Musk claimed that he can solve the Twitter bot problem and now Sam bankman Fried and Vitalik Buterin are coming up with some solutions.
Sam Bankman Fried thinks that the developers should start charging some gas fees to send the messages at the social media platform. Here, Vitalik Buterin supported the suggestion and replied that sender should be offered authority to adjust the gas fees if a message is satisfactory to the users.
The talk of the town remains Twitter takeover by the Tesla CEO which is expected to happen soon. Elon Musk announced that he will buy the social media platform for 44 Billion USD. In April 2022, he acquired 9.2% stakes in the company to become the biggest stakeholder in the organization.Company Board then planned to use the poison pill strategy to prevent him from buying the whole company.
The plan clearly failed and now the world is waiting for him to throw the money at the table and just sign the damn papers. Elon Musk was reportedly skeptical regarding the deal as the company failed to provide data on bots. The board said that he has to pay 1 Billion USD in penalties if he fails to go forward with the deal. The Tesla CEO has several plans in mind to transform Twitter for good.
One of the changes he wants to make is the implementation of free speech on the platform. Several users backfired on this decision and said that the users may post inappropriate content. But Ark Invest CEO, Cathie Woods, thinks that this may not affect Twitter at all. She says that they can always block any user they find unfitting.
The bots are a real problem as they can affect the people significantly. There are bots with several followers of their accounts. One Tweet can change their mind considering how fertile ground the human mind is. This represents a directly proportional relationship between the bots and users. More followers means more impact.
According to research, 66% accounts show characteristics indicating that they are bot accounts. It is uncertain that Elon Musk will take over the company or not, but there are huge speculations as well as expectations regarding the deal if the Tesla CEO signs the papers by end October 2022.
