Valkyrie Raises Funds Worth $11.15 M In Latest Strategic Funding Round

In a new strategic funding round, Valkyrie Investments has raised funds worth $11.15 million.

Belvedere Strategic Capital, C-Squared Ventures, SenaHill Partners, Wedbush Financial Services, Clearsky, Zilliqa Capital, and BNY Mellon are among the firms that participated in the round. 

With several products offering exposure to single asserts, Valkyrie has launched multiple trusts this year. 

An exchange-traded fund that invests in firms involved in bitcoin mining is among the recently launched products. As of early this year, it has also outperformed $1 billion in assets 

The company was part of a group of issuers that eagerly wanted to introduce a spot Bitcoin ETF to market, however, none proved to be successful. However, it was among the earliest to bring a bitcoin futures product to market, announcing a debut worth $80 million with its bitcoin futures ETF. 

Valkyrie shares where it will be utilizing this fresh round of funding. It revealed that the funding will be used for increasing its headcount and carrying on with the development of proprietary technology infrastructure while also seeking to bring more products to market. Last year, Valkyrie raised $10 million in a Series A round.

Valkyrie, based in Nashville, Tenn., provides three Nasdaq-listed exchange-traded funds (ETF), decentralized finance (DeFi) hedge fund, eight protocol trusts, and a protocol treasury management business. XBTO Bitcoin Futures Fund of Valkyrie received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
