US Senate’s Bipartisan Legislative Skips Cryptocurrency

US Senate Chuck Schumer passed a bipartisan legislative letter which lists ‘priorities’ in the pending months of Congress, and it skips cryptocurrency legislation but involves AI.

Fox news reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on X that despite him telling the ‘Crypto4Harris’ town hall that crypto legislation was going to be a pressing priority, it does not find a mention in the bipartisan legislative bill.

The letter read, “In the remaining months of this Congress, we can continue this momentum in even more key policy areas, but of course we will need republican cooperation. There are still opportunities for bipartisan cooperation on NDAA, rail safety, lowering the cost of insulin and prescription drugs, and artificial intelligence, among others. While we won’t be able to achieve all of these goals before elections, it is my hope that our Republican colleagues will work with us to make as much progress as possible”.

This move comes as a surprise as Schumer had previously stated that the Senates can actually pass a bipartisan crypto regulation bill before the end of the year at the Crypto4Harris event , which was seen as VP Kama Harris’s move to undermine Trump’s popularity amongst degens.

“Why are we here today? Because we all support Vice President Kamala Harris to be our next president, and we all believe in the future of crypto,” said Schumer.

Describing his crypto regulation goal, he said that he wanted to bring members on both sides in the Senate together to pass sensible legislation that helps the United States maintain its status as the most innovative country in the world.
