UniX Gaming and The Sandbox enter metaverse partnership

UniX Gaming, one of the biggest play-to-earn gaming guilds in the world, has entered into a partnership with The Sandbox (SAND/USD), Invezz learned from a press release first published on Bitcoinist. The Sandbox has formed partnerships with Adidas, Atari, Care Bears, and other major brands.

Playing a role as ecosystem builder

The metaverse is still in its infancy despite all the hype around it. UniX will play a key role in the development of The Sandbox metaverse as an ecosystem builder. It aims to help prominent persons and brands create their own virtual worlds with digital stores, buildings, NFTs, mini-games and more.

The crypto gaming guild is best-known for supporting new gamers aiming to access the extremely competitive play-to-earn gaming space. The prohibitive entrance barrier is among the challenges of P2E gaming. Most popular games require high upfront investments in NFTs, which many players can’t afford, especially those in developing countries.

UniX has collected a large number of P2E game NFTs. Promising players receive scholarships from the guild, which also loans the NFTs they need to begin playing. When a player earns a reward, it is split with UniX 50:50.

UniX is creating its own games as well as a launchpad for new P2E games to raise money through an Initial Game Offering. Bibits, its first title, is set to launch later this year.
